Blood like what Rhett was eating is actully a food that most Thai people enjoy in soups such as Rice Soup or Pho. Now I personally hate blood, and when I first ate it, I thought it was red chunky greasy hard you swallow (because of the awful taste) tofu! Anyways, just letting any random person know incase they were wondering! :)

You're supposed to fry the blood in butter and eat it with lingonberry jam and bacon, that's what we do in Sweden at least and it's delicious! It's called blodpudding (blood pudding)

how's the texture & flavor? i can half-like blood sausage, does it taste anywhere near it? I had soup w/ blood curd mixed into it and it was good, but i don't think i'd ever be able to take a bite out of a block of gelatinous blood (how i imagine it to be).

I have never eaten it raw like they do, I can imagine that tastes god damn awful. But when you fry it it get's crispy on the outside and pleasantly soft on the inside. The frying also takes away all the bad taste of the blood. I have never eaten blood sausage but I'd guess that's roughly the same thing.
