The fish turned the soda yellow because strangely enough fish bladder (the enzymes inside it) can clean and actually clarify water or other drinking solutions. It's also used in beers to help give it that. . .well more distinct yellow color but it adds no flavor (the enzymes at least) but seeing as how it was a whole fish. . . . . . . .well that explains the smell. So as the flesh melted away and dissolved when it hit the bladder; the enzymes went to work and turned it yellow. . . So. . .I guess. . . .fun fact.
