I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you posted today's vlog. Back in November, my husband and I were in Nice on a Viking cruise (small ship). The excursion I had been most looking forward to was a trip to Eze. There wasn't enough interest for that particular excursion, so it was cancelled! I was so disappointed. Not only that, but I had a bad knee which made walking difficult. Thank you for taking us there today. I got to see what I did and did not miss out on! Watching this, I think the walking would've made the experience less pleasurable. Thank you for taking us on this virtual tour instead!

should've watched this earlier=D I was there 2 weeks ago, specifically planned to arrive at 9 but Antibes-Eze (by car) took longer than that 1 hour as google maps promised (trust issues here), so we arrived at 10, headed straight into the garden with tickets bought online (to skip the line) and there were already quite a lot of people there.. we were leaving a bit after 12 and that's when the masses of people started pouring in - I can't imagine how that many people can even fit in that garden, the paths are narrow, so I guess you're just being carried by the blob of people and the experience is completely ruined=\ The village itself is beautiful but most medieval villages are - this one just has that added bonus of the beautiful garden and views💙

From the moment you arrived in Eze village and explained just how much the car parking was.... One word came to mind and it stayed there until you both left, "Exploitation". Yes, I remember seeing Eze appearing in a few movies after seeing the drone shots, but it's nothing to rave about. How many basement medieval art shops do you feel exited enough to walk down into before you begin to walk past them? I'd say 3 before I'm yawning. Me and the wife are vegan, don’t drink booze and have an aversion to crap consumerism 😂 We tend to make our own food when we’re in Villefranche as the options are minimal, run and hike places where there are fewer humans and swim at the beach, early evening (6pm ish), when it’s cooled down and it’s much quieter. You can avoid the tourists mostly, but if you wanna go to popular spots it’s going to be teeming with people, documenting their trip. The last time we were down I was super surprised at the amount people that were constantly taking selfies and striking poses for photos. Love hiking up to Èze, it’s graft but loads of fun!

Check Monaco Transport online , or Zou, or the Zest 11 bus, but the one that runs from Monaco Gare SNCF to La Turbie, 2.10 Eu, covers what will be the time trial climb for this year's Tour de France final TT stage. The bus ride is a thrill ride in itself! Also, as you know but the subscribers probably don't -, Roquebrune Village is on the other side of Monaco, a great alternative if Eze is overrun, as it usually is. The fit can hike up to it from the train station. While climbing, the 'asa delta' hang glider people swoosh by and add to the show, the glimpses of Monaco the Magic Kingdom are stunning.

Lovely enjoyable vid as always, guys. Eze is very much like the villages that make up the Cinque Terre in Italy. Usually crammed with tourists and expensive , with beautiful views across the Med. And whenever an American cruise ship docks in La Spezia you can bet your life they all make a bee line for Cinque Terre which is easily accessible by rail, so all you see are Americans! best to visit in spring or autumn. Summer months are too busy. All the 5 villages, are connected by a footpath which is, if you're fit can walk from one to another per day. Each has its own particular character and charm.

Nicely done. Indeed, this was a nice place back before some poser bought the whole place up and kicked out the real artisans …used to love the visit and the purchase of unique gifts, but that is over …ah, don't listen to me, that was a quarter century ago. But I truly pity the people who come up here, especially those who take the public buses. Dozens of people waiting for busses that are already full so that they can get back to Nice or Monaco. Once the Monaco Jardin Exotique reopens - wow, a walk from the heights to the grotto as deep as you dare - perhaps that will take some of the pressure off Eze.

This is indeed a fantastic place, the views over the Mediterranean are superb, the tropical garden is truly wonderful. The downside is the crowd of people flocking to the place, and the increasingly commercial atmosphere starts to somehow undermine the character of the location. I love your videos, you remind me of me and my hubby in that we don’t like crowds, and we love to buy a sandwich or bread and cheese and sit on a bench or in a park and eat while we are on the road exploring. We also love dining out of course, and prefer small quaint restaurants and hotels over the fancier ones. Simple is always better, more enjoyable and more memorable 💜 You guys are doing a great job… and Twiggy is such a doll… she reminds me of my little fur girl, Lola, very sweet and gentle. Lola is an all white Pekapoo but she has a similar look to Miss Twiggy 🥰

Thanks for the update on Eze. That's also a lot of people noise too! which spoils it for me. Also thanks for the added nod to To Catch a Thief. - one of my all time favorites! I think I'll go back and rewatch your first visit. Cheers. - P>S> I barely made it to the top. It's tougher than it looks!!! I'm glad you guys made it . I wish I knew a bit more history about it. I 'll google it I guess.

We always do a lap, champagne and coffee at the hotel ( worth the money ) , Vrai body cream from Fraganod and I always say never again, but I’ll be there in June lol. I alway park easy down the street, but for March that’s a lot of tourists.

Nip into Fragonard and have lunch at cafe de la Fontaine in La Turbie instead?

I've realised this channel is a Catch-22, the more popular the channel gets, the more crowded with subscriber tourists the non-tourist areas will get, so the more out of the way places you'll need to find, which leads to.... ∞

true though I suspect (given the amount of views the more obscure places illicit that we have quite a long time before that happens!)

We were at Eze on March 17 2023 and we didn’t have so many tourists. We were able to have a nice Apéros spritzer on a patio and toured the gardens. It is very pretty and amazing views. But definitely know what you mean about the all art and the trinkets.

Hi lads from Spain. Like you I don't like crowds - used to hate Sarfend in the summer - it was barely passable in the winter if one was only there for shopping. One thing I hate is when people stop and they are just 'Stood there standing' as they say in Lincs. One doesn't know Whether to wait or push past with a grumpy look.

Enviable weather 😊....we visited Eze many years ago in November, the weather was incredibly hot, relatively quiet with very very few tourists, and the most incredible views...it was lovely. Those crowds would definitely deter me now 😢 x

We had a driver from Nice just drop us at the bottom of EZE Village and we walked up with no crowds and no direction so we ended up in the cemetery somewhat lost but stunning views lol 😎

We went to Eze last year. Got the bus at 9am from Nice and so glad we did, by the time we were leaving it was super busy. We also walked down the path as we couldn’t work out the buses to get back to Nice. My knees were sore by the time we got to the bottom but the amount of people I saw walking up and down in flip flops, great way to a broken ankle. Great video.

Thank you so much for posting this vlog on Eze. We had it on our list for October having been there 10 years ago. It is really sad to see these villages become so commercialized. We love La Turbie so will go there instead. We re visited La Roque Gageac last April and were so surprised at the increase in tourists, such a turn off, especially when traveling off season. Thanks for another wonderful adventure! You are not snobs, you just have taste 😊😊😊

Left - right sound swap still evident in the first half, it's resolved from the car park lift onwards, until the picnic in the car, when it swaps again.

It's exactly the same on a different pair of headphones connected to my phone, just checked. Its definitely you. So, so far I've tested your theory on my Galaxy note 10, my echo show 15. my wifes IPhone 15, my Amazon TV cube and my Cello TV. The results are the same, your sound transposes when you're sitting in the Ami.
