Exactly, Europe is just coping up by naming it's 5th gen upcoming fighters (Tempest and FCAS) as 6th gen, to stay relevant perhaps There's no way that other gens, especially 3rd and 4th, lasted so long, and now here we are, already moving to 6th gen, within just 20-30 years, while 4th gen still stays relevant... this doesn't make sense... the entire world doesn't even have 5th gen fighters Only USA has them (especially F22, and also YF23, if they ever wanna bring it back), and it's vassal states got a few more (they got F35s, a fighter again having a LOT of issues) China's J20 is not stealthy, nor is Russia's Su 57 While world hasn't even mastered 5th gen, how come we are moving into 6th gen already? I mean USA might be able to, but rest of the world? Nope... they will still get 5th gen fighters in 2050 Look how many countries are buying 4th gen till now, almost every nation, even USA is buying F16s and F15s (although newer versions) I don't understand, why people are commenting always that "the world will fly 6th gen fighters while AMCA will be just on papers" This "word" game is so bad... people call up mingAMCA MK1 as a 4.5th gen fighter, just coz it can't supercruise, but will call F35 (which also can't supercruise as far as I know), as 5th gen While forgetting that AMCA will already have a "6th gen" feature (well Media and companies have now latched onto this name category for their respective fighters already, I guess we gotta use that wording too now) of "Teaming" (CATS) So yeah, 5th gen sahi se abhi takk aaya nahi, lekin some KZbin shorts and podcasts guys will say "dekho dekho 6th gen fighter" If we get to see some so called "7th gen fighter" tag on a fighter jet by 2050, don't be surprised 😂😂

@@123Suryasis it's because the west (Europe especially) is naming it's jets in "6th gen" category That's why they gotta use it too (warna desh main kuch "half knowledge" waale logg wapis se gaali denge)

@@CatOfCulture Bro, I am not saying that fifth gens are useless, but many kids on internet use to say that 4th or 4.5th gen fighters will get useless by 2040 and instead of 4.5th gen Tejas mk2, India have to focus on 5th gen directly which don't even make a little bit sense. Like World atleast take 1 or 2 more decade to master fifth gen fighters, how can we talk about sixth gen in near future 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒. 5th gen are important, but like this too much over expensive sitting duck F35, nahhhhh..............

This is the basic reason why India is not thinking of acquiring F-35 or Su-57 while concentrating on AMCA, where they are trying to keep the maintainence costs minimum.

In this field we have to appreciate China for their thinking even if its immoral , i dont think these things matter in war . They churned out 4& 4.5 gen jets like bikes even tho they may not be perfect . Its better to have something rather than nothing . And they created a buffer where they are confident that even tho they didn't had tech superior jet ,they could stand with numbers. But now that phase is over & are now churning out 5th gen jets like bikes ,even it's not perfect they will mature it out in future .

Also indian public mindset and brain was colonised by Congressis and communist who worked for west. F 35 is not everyday fighter but your best solution to end conflict. For day to day bases cheaper ones are there, If you have money to own Ferrari then obviously you have money to get expensive parts too. Otherwise Don't waste your money on things you can't drive. ☝️😆

Still india should buy atleast one squadron of F35 if possible, completely relying on amca isn't viable we don't know if we get amca in 2030 or 2035 or 2040 or even later. China already started mass production of J20 and turkey might offer it's 5gen fighter to pak soon we should be prepared for any situation tejas su-30 or rafeal won't stand against j20 we know that.

I examined the equipment of US Air force on WIKIPEDIA it was showing that US already have 196 F35 and 1,824 more F35's are on order..

a lot of arm chair warriors in the comment section. before anything else...infia must create its oen national securoty strategy we can't buy multiple defense platforms from multiple sources,it eill create supply chain nightmare. we mist rely on our capability ,but it would take another 20 years for us to reach that level of expertise and capabilities but in the meantime we must create our own doctrines... induct weopons system that is suitable for us.

It is more manurable and fast than f-35. Now Su-57 is fighting in real war as Ukran so it combat proven 5 th generation plateform.

Yes, understood that F35 is expensive but it we should have some 5th gen fighters, as these planes can work as wing leader in many combat situation, like maybe 10 will be helpful to get experience as our own 5th gen fighters are long way for development as of now. 😢
