I'm not a big fan of Final Fantasy but I got to admit, I still remember I was hooked with vs13. All the vs13 trailers was & still amazing & interesting. Sadly, I was disappointed with FF15 was nothing like that. It's not a bad game but I feel kinda betrayed that it's not the game I wish I get to play. If they bring back vs13, I would definitely play it.

@@JenovaGirzz People LOVE 10 (which so did I), even tho it's just as linear, hallway-ish, or townless than 13 is. But if you ask anyone what's wrong with 13, 90% of the time it'll be one or a mix of those things. They both have 1 town and 1 open area lmao and both are mainly just hallways (which most games are but do a good job of hiding it, if the map didn't highlight that fact i dont think half the ppl would've noticed....) Edit: just to be clear, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with 10, I absolutely LOVE IT and it's one of my all time favorites in fact!

Blitzball(like it or not, it's there and there's a lot to it). One town? Besaid, Kilika, Luca, and Guadosalam are collectively one town, to say nothing of the various temples and camps? lmao. But the towns are all pretty pointless, as far as shopping and information gathering in the traditional sense. Now the difference is there is actually settlements with ppl you can interact, that's what's good in X. I wasn't trying to shit on X, I was trying to highlight the fact that 13 wasn't that far off. I'm not sure what ur point or stande is, I dunno what you mean about the tired argument? Ive never seen anyone point out the linearity of X, but I also haven't looked really. Versus XIII should have been the direction the entire time. They catched so much attention from the community for finally being a dark and mature FF with an open world/KH action type combat. Then they backpedaled on it, changed the story, dropped the ability to control the other party members, and watered it down to being a T for teen game.

Versus XIII is still being talked about to this day. I really feel bad for Nomura, who deeply loves this story and these characters he wanted to bring to life. I say: ''Let him cook.'' A remake to FNC would certainly be the best case scenario and the perfect chance for him to make his vision come true. (Again, just let him cook SE...)

The international regulatory system of China forbids demonic or evil symbolism in games . Meanwhile doom is in China.. which… makes no sense . But it was because of the worship of death and skulls .

Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Orgins did something like that already. Just note Type-0 sadly. :/ World 1-15 each have a stage that take place modified versions from their respective game like FFXIII uses part of the Sunleth Waterscape and FFXV Uses the Citadel in Insomnia.

A Remake of FFXV to what Nomura has envisioned for FF Versus 13 will be huge for Square Enix. Many fans of FFXV were completely disappointed of how incomplete it was from the start such as rewriting the whole story and the lack of depth combat design. I really hope if SE has greenlit the project for FFXV in Nomura's direction, they should rather use Unreal Engine instead of Luminous Engine so they won't suffer the same mistake of Crystal Tools that went disastrous in overall development cycle before.

In the same way that the Remake FF7 trilogy is a sequel in disguise I'd like for them to have another go at FFXIII where we think it's just a remake only for us to figure out as we play that FNC is back. Or maybe from the get go call the remake Final Fantasy XIII : Fabula, would make everyone go crazy and Versus XIII and Agito would respectively be named Nova and Crystallis instead of the original names. FF13 was supposed to be linear and hallway-like to reflect how everything the characters experienced was fated up until Lightning confronting Bhunivelze in Lightning returns. Maybe even that was fated. Gran Pulse is supposed to be empty and devoid of cities because Pulse was tasked by Bhunivelze to find the physical location of Etro's Gate; Pulse fal'Cie brand l'Cie to further this purpose, but humans aren't necessary. It is Lindzei who needed humans in Coccoon to open Etro's Gate so wide you couldn't miss it, by making Coccoon fall and flooding Etro's Gate with souls. I agree this stuff was too hidden in the datalogs and could be made clearer, but the linearity of the game and Gran Pulse being so empty were amazing ludonarrative elements.

It's linearity was a big part of why I love this game so much. It felt like less of a chore to find extra things and multiple paths. I could soak up the beautiful scenery and appreciate the gorgeous artwork. I love this representation of a wolrd too beautiful to exist but at it's core so soothingly melancholic. A euphoric type of heartache. So much feeling and easy to enjoy. Out of this world sorrowful and with all the failed grasping for happiness made this such an emotional game for me. Just tiny glimpses of hope in a seemigly hopeless universe. 13- graphics, 13-2 story, LR gameplay. The perfect trilogy.

Because of studio mergers etc. CS1 isn't only currently working on FF7R3 but also on KH4, any potential future SaGa games and potentially on FFXVII (if they aren't going with CS3 again). The merged CBUs (and now after the renaming CSs) aren't really tight nit teams anymore as they were when they were Business Divisions but just general grouping of the company each made up if multiple teams working on multiple things at the same time

But at the same time I think the whole team is working on UE4 now. And the Forspoken team was using the engine CS3 is now using and has heavily modified. So what would be wisdom here? FFXV is my favourite game of all time and I have been high on copium for years that maybe Versus is gonna manifest in the future, and this video gave me that extra hope to rekindle the fan inside me. I still love the game, but there is something about those old trailers that tells me there is so much more to this world than what was in the final product.

@@mikev8746 Current day final fantasy is nothing but poorly written story mixed with a button mash action combat system trying to be devil may cry. LITERALLY FF16 opened with an on rails section, At least the 13 still feels like a Final Fantasy compared the unfinished work that is 15 and the piss poor attempt to call 16 a final fantasy game when it is generic fantasy game that got banned in multiple counties because it pushed politics above story. 13 is flaws but at least its still a game that retained its Final Fantasy identity unlike 15, 16, or the completely stupidity that is multi world time travel bullshit of Finale Fantasy 7 remake. Get over it Action Combat RPGs just lead to terrible Role Playing Games that are borderline Hack and Slash games. Bluntly Octopath Travelers 2 feels more like a final fantasy game than modern fantasy does and the publishing company might be the same but they are completely different devs teams. Don't even get me started on how FF16 when talking story beat is feels like a Drakenguard 1 ripoff as well.

No. Its kind of a corridor sim with an open world area that felt like it was empty in terms of people, understandable why, but still... even just making the first half of the game more open and the open area have people and a town (like the one in 13 2’s version of the steppe) would make it a lot better, and give it ff13 2’s combat system (minus the animal party member) or a version of ff13 lr’s combat system.

I'd be down for a XIII remake. That's where the series fell off for me. Even though I like that trilogy, it just fell so short of everything before it. VIIR, although I'm displeased with aspects of the story, those remakes have created a master format of balancing characters, gameplay, exploration and an immersive world, and cinematic storytelling that would suit XIII so well. I feel like the 7R combat system is bankable like the ATB system was in the 90's, and you could easily swap materia for paradigms without changing much. Also, the 7R games really are giving off FNC vibes with the direction the story themes have shifted. Every project they've teased or hinted kinda has mad FNC potential with the themes. "Defying a fate wrought by mad gods" and such what... X, XIII, XV, VII Remake & Rebirth... that's all of them now. Now... Versus XIII remake??? Square Enix... my beloved. The game concept you teased us with for ten years before it released in an unrecognizable state as a completely different game, which has tormented me and ruined my relationship with video games ever since. That game alone can save me from this cynical jaded view of Square Enix that keeps me at arms length from calling myself a fan (as opposed to more of a Squaresoft era fan with morbid curiosity for new Square Enix games). The only reason I see why XIII would be an upcoming remake is cause it's an easier project. It's one of the first FF that was much shorter than the rest if not the first . All other FF before XI were very long like FF7. VI would be my most favorite choice but that would be 4-5 games being longer than FF7 and since FF7Rebirth didn't reach sale expectations, I'm sure they're not looking forward to another big FF project.

Yes, Square Enix at the time turned Final Fantasy Versus XIII into Final Fantasy XV. I am just using information that I've gathered over the years as evidence to speculate. There is no confirmation from Square Enix that there will be a versus XIII game separate from Final Fantasy XV or that Final Fantasy XIII is being remade at this time.

I absolutely love Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy! I have a PS3, and when you first start the controls and things like that can be pretty wonky, but if they made a FF-XIII trilogy remaster or maybe a remake, they NEED to make the bosses easier. Not even asking them to make a different system and keep the somewhat turned based, THEY NEED TO DEBUFF THE BOSSES. I love the characters, the story, and the animation was INSANE for the time. But I haven’t been able to finish Final Fantasy XIII/2 because the bosses are so hard. :( but I would love to see a remastered Trilogy or a remake! This generation needs to know the beauty of older final fantasy games besides Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy XVI and Remake and Rebirth.

@@GiannaVelez-rx5pf wait I think I figured out the boss you are talking about. That boss shouldn’t be that difficult compared to the very next one. My suggestion is to constantly use the medic to heal, and the synergist and saboteur to both strengthen the party and weaken the enemy. Note i do not remember this boss well so yea, they are one of the few annoying bosses. Also a lot of bosses in the game have a pattern of attacks they use, but have some random attacks in between. You should be good if you max out their current crystariums and put on accessories that increase hp maybe?

FF XIII does not need a Remake, a Remaster however might be nice. FF XIII also is a great game, and is over-hated. FF XIII still holds up in graphical fidelity, it's one of the most gorgeous games of the 7th Gen. As for FFXV, no we also don't need a Remake either, and the game is good after the patches and DLC we got. Is it disappointing the DLC went un-finished and instead was reduced to a book? Sure, but at least we got stuff for Ardyn.

It would be nice if they did Versus XIII with the same main characters as XV instead of having to recreate new ones. They are hugely loved, and many of us would be happy to see them in an AU type of situation, I’m sure. I can’t get enough of them! XV is the most fun game I’ve ever played despite the storytelling being a mess, so I’m so sad it’s the most polarizing game in the series for fans. The hate hurts me!

Whatever they do, they need to fix the way they make games, that led to all FFs after X being viewed as flawed, whereas before X included the series was seen as only masterpiece. There was a formula. But they moved away from it. I don't even think they know there was a formula anymore. FF is not just supposed to be "the best game possible at one time whatever this is". The gameplay was important in how they built common features over the iterations. The story was supposed to be moving (like you wanna cry after it ends), not just epic. Etc.

Why remake is to pace the OVERALL trilogy, XIII alone was decent but the trilogy was epic, happens with over 500 years (in game) of character development.

The point of the first 2/3 of the game is you're on the run. It really doesn't make sense to have towns. It would feel shoehorned in.

XIII has an insane amount of bottled potential, but thats what it stayed as... bottled. Dont get me wrong, i adored ff13 in its hayday. But definitely see its issues these days. Call it a bias, but i really believe theres something diamond in there, something that modern hardware, less time restriction would really allow it to shine.

I can hear all the critisism about 15, it wasn't polished as it should have been for sure.. but calling it a disaster is such a terrible take. The concept, the bro moments, the whole road trip thing.. it was genius and I don't think I cared for the whole cast of a FF more than this one aside from FF6. I hope they're working on FFXVII. FFXIII is the way it is. I think their time would be better spent putting all that effort into the 17th Final Fantasy. I'd be fine with a remaster of FFXIII with some re-balancing of combat and pacing.

I really hope they don't do through with this. If they were struggling with each game in terms of writing and fitting things in solo, it would be a much bigger task to have connected works through three games. The trailer for IG XIIIVersus never made sense to connect with XIII at, only that's they are modern setting magic vs technology. What we were hinted at with Stella being a main character, perhaps tragic love interest to Noctis, I wish we still got. In the most recent games, XV, XVI, the important women character's writing really took a backseat. So if they are writing this as a trilogy, they would need to account for Stella and Lightning's relationship, alongside whichever cast from "Agito'. We saw in XV and XVI that making the relationship between cast being the highest satisfaction point and the more bloated the cast, the more this will be harder. Type-0's cast was especially bloated. Only way I really see it happening is if there are four factions, three to each of the trilogy and much smaller than the typical 'Empire' common enemy. At the same time, theres friction across the three smaller empires as well, where Stella might originate from the Agito faction that unfortunately deploys teenagers as soldiers. Each has its own story to tell up until mid game where the story converges, like what happens in XV, but allowing for more time to digest the union of the three small nations against the Empire. Each game has their own cast being the triumphant team that directly defeated the Empire in its own way. But rather than divide it into three games, just have it as three routes of the same game with different starting points and charge a premium for it, like $90 since its effectively three games in one. But they would need to put in the work and have a cohesive retelling since the cast has already been somewhat established. Unlike FF7, I don't think people will tolerate a three piece approach. Better to have them pay upfront. I think the transparency would help and it means for those who would be interested for only one route would still end up contributing significant revenue.

NO WAYS. Final fantasy Type zero is already well constructed stories under FNC. AND the lightning trilogy is sort of based on FNC. Only FF 15 is so broken.

I never really understood the hate for FF XIII. I thought it was a fun game. Awesome OST also. XIII-2 was a lot of fun too but I never got to try XIII-3. That said I don't think it needs a remake. It's too new. Give some love to FFVIII or IX. Shit even FFVI would be awesome.

OMG, a disaster piece! VI was a beautiful game that was open world. Not just a set path like some of these remakes or rebirths or reuinions we are seeing. I personally loved XIII for the story. The music accompanying was great and the characters as well. It's been a while since I played it but a game built on today's technology probably would be better. Compare 7 to 7 remake. Huge difference. Just like PS3 to PS5. I love when a randomly new youtuber pops up with an opinion on something. I wouldn't waste my time trying to make videos talking about games because so many would disagree with my opinions, but yours is just ... I'll leave it as that!

This is such a perfect 'not going to happen' scenario But yeah, XV was a big disappointment and Versus XIII should be revived Nomura got his 'art' butchered by another team, lost most of his team member because of company decisions, and got all the blame from those ignorant "FF" fans regarding FFXV

@@shicyn lol no V13 and 15 are 2 separates entities, even Tabata said it in an interview. Also Funfact, Nomura isn't credited in the game of XV because tabata is having too big of an ego and won't even acknowledge Nomura's contribution. the only times Nomura credited about XV is ONLY on XV merch, Dissidia, and Tekken 7 collab.
