Is Fatigue After Enbrel Injection Normal? (Plus Steps You Can Take To Help)

I'm so glad to see these comments. That first and second day specially, I'm so exhausted. All I can seem to do is sleep. Thanks everyone for answering this!

I just started Enbril and since I started the fatigue is horrible. I slept 10 hours and still cannot get out of bed. Humira didn’t cause sheer exhaustion. I can’t function, think or even get out of bed.

I felt extreme fatigue before I was diagnosed with RA. After taking Enbrel, I noticed that I felt fatigue for the first 2 days after the shot. Now, having taken it for 6 months, I notice I don't feel very fatigued at all anymore. I think it's actually helped after longer-term use.

It 100% causes me fatigue, onset about day afterwards the injection, usually sleep more for a day or two and then I'm fine. Been on it for 17 years.

ENBREL fatigue is real and terrible.

I have just started Enbrel. I am on my 2nd week and fatigue has been a huge side effect.

I have been tak8ng enbrel weekly for over 10 years. NOT every time is the same but notice if the shots come out of the same box that whatever the first one does, the res5 will in terms of the upset stomach, somet8mes it doesnt effect my stomach the 1st dat after but horrible the 2nd. But ALWAYS take my shot at night bc it drains all my energy & its not helpful to explain this to my husband when drs are saying "well thats not suppose to be a side effect". For 2 days after enbrel (depending on dehydrated i am from the diarrhea) i feel like i have been zapped, drained of all energy. When i worked i would have to spend my days off feeling like poop but then the alternative is..... ⚖️
