For those that don't know, Russ is shooting his video from Most of the same places that they shot the movie "OVERBOARD!" from with Kurt and Goldie. That's the harbor AND the bridge. Great town and an easy walk around. Thanks, Russ !!

This brought back fond memories. I lived in Ft. Bragg from 1992-200.I did have to get use to the fog ,and cooler Summers .It also was cold, damp ,and rainy in the Winters .I did enjoy the small town life .I really enjoyed walking and hiking near the oceans. The harbor was nice and always had some interesting restaurants.

Being so remote in the redwoods, only the die hard travelers make it here to my final resting place. The Harbor Jetty is a great place to meet people. There is so much you missed about this place, but thanks for the material provided.

I wonder if he knows he is in the shooting scene in the movie "Overboard " was filmed. It's where Goldie Hawn pushed Kurt Russell over side with his tool box. Up the hill before the bridge there is a motel where my wife and I stayed for our honeymoon. Fort Bragg is a great place for restaurants by the water. Tge locals are wonderful. Be safe everyone. 😊

Hi Grace here, we love Fort Bragg area. Be sure so check out the old dump and how today it's called, "glass beach". Let us know if you come further south (bodega bay, point Reyes, Petaluma) and we can say hello.

I lived and worked out of Fort brag for 15 years, its got some really pretty places, its also got a lot of darkness as its got one of the highest violent property and sexual crime rates in the country. Most of the state of Ca is 1-200 of being a victim of violent crime, Fort Bragg is 1-127

A couple things... When you got to the end of that road through the mountains, too bad the fog didn't let you see the coast past where the road turns inland. You see why the road had to. It's like a giant diamond sitting on the shore, totally impassable. Right at the south end of that bridge is a BBQ shack that's pretty good. You flashed on it (red) for just a second. Sorry, but that was not a rust bucket. With or without paint, that was made for the cold ocean. Nice video though... I love that area and it brought me back some.

wow, now your in my neighborhood...LOL..used to live in Fort Bragg...nice area. The campground used stayed at use to be a very rough place, glad it is a bit better. That boat you called a rust bucket is being re done...there was a guy that made them right there, just around the corner on Highway 20. I bet it is one of his..prob worth a couple of million the way it sits..lol. Did you see Captain Flints at the harbor? that is where "Overboard" was filmed. well some of it, lol. At that time, there was a different bridge over the harbor. I think your in Sacramento...if you head this way by Ukiah let me know...congrats on 5K viewers.

That RV park looked a bit sketchy. Why not stay at beautiful State Parks? In March, I camped at a really nice one at the north of town and it was on the ocean. It had small trees and coastal bushes separating each campsite. Much more private and beautiful.

I was born and raised there spent the first 56 years there, worked as a paramedic there and my grandmother was the crazy old lady in the bed next to Goldie that sticks her tung out at her. I moved because of the fog.😂

The fog is only on the Coast certain times of the year. During summer when it's hot inland warm moist air condenses over the water to make fog. Mid June, July, August.
