On the bowl in a bowl method of corn removal: You need a bigger bottom bowl. I've also found that having something I don't mind hitting with my knife makes the whole thing feel better. Ideally a sacrificial wooden bowl in a wide bottom bowl. Since I don't have a sacrificial wooden bowl (yet), I have been using a wooden drink coaster perched on a regular bowl in the big bowl. Are you certain those were dandelion greens? Standard dandelion greens do not have any red in them but perhaps there is a different variety in your area that does have red ribs?

Good notes on the bowl/bowl method, 🙏. I’ve always just use a cutting board but thought I’d try that technique out. I’ll prob go back to the cutting board next time… for me it’s more straightforward and really not all that messy. Fun to mess around with all the same. As for the dandelion greens, yep there’s a red-veined varietal. I’m in NYC but I think those came from Lancaster, PA. Tastes about the same imo, just a little prettier on camera
