I could tell that young man that the relationship I have with my wife is a reflection of my walk with Christ. When I am out of sync with the Father, I am also out of sync with my wife

I can't remember where I heard this recently, maybe Cliff Knechtle, but it really speaks to the issue of gambling in the Christian lifestyle. While the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil, it is also a gift from God and should be stewarded wisely in order to help others. Money is a resource from God and should be used in such a way - it's His, not ours. In a sense, gambling is using God's resources as a toy for personal entertainment, and is not a wise use of the gifts God has given us to use for the helping of others and the building up of the Kingdom. Don't play around with what God has entrusted you - have discernment and wisdom to steward it wisely. That doesn't even touch on the predatory issues of addiction that are pervasive around gambling.

Avarice in the form of the vice of gambling was best described that I have heard as just that; taking something given to us by God that is already possessed by us(security) and trading it for something else we could have(chance). Trading something God-given is unfaithful and reckless. Ever since I heard it described that way, I have solidified my belief set against it. Ironically, the sermon it was in, was from that recently disgraced big name televised pastor, I won't name him outright and let it distract from the message.

I love the Lord...but I'm having a hard time .. walking the fence..I know it's not right...I'm getting baptized tomorrow looking forward to being cleansed by the Lord grace. My first time I'm 45. I was raised in church but found the Lord in jail.. when I had no one...that's amazing...

Brother, how can you talk about sins when 2 of your most popular videos are full of wickedness and blaspheme the Lord?
