Over here in Europe (including France) we had the same type of content on TV but mocking... Americans. Fortunately that trend kinda stopped and there are people trying to explain why that bias exists. A French KZbin channel, horizon-gull, made a good video about it. I'm a teenager from Gen Z and I want to give my opinion about our generation: Yes, there are some people who are actually stupid for various reasons. One of them being the internet. Now, yes, it can bring a lot of good info, you can study using it, have some fun. However, there's still things that haven't been adressed and not only they affect us, but the future generations. Let's say TikTok: it had the potential to be just a fun little platform for people to dance, play some short games, etc. But people started using it for other reasons and it does not bring anything good for anyone. Not only TikTok is a problem, KZbin literally has p0rn channels that use kid characters as their... subject. And last, but not least: the parents. Giving a phone to a little child to let they "develop themselves using technology" is just a very, but VERY dumb idea. If you don't want kids, just don't have. Simple.
