I love the song New Love definitely my fav from the album but you build the strongest case in favor of the song. I wasn't expecting this album from hers cuz it's previous work is good but OMG now she's great.

Girl in Red is popular mostly in white millenial and gen z WLW spaces but honestly I think she reached the peak of her popularity a few years ago. I can’t see much of an upward trajectory from here.

AVAA @34:00 I won't speak for other lesbians, but personally, I think there are several sociological layers of jealousy/insecurity/frustration involved and it isn't really about the anatomy. Is the woman I'm interested in straight? If yes, then it's not so much that I wish I had a dong but that I wish I had a chance at all. It sucks worse when the man treats the woman awfully. And I can't overstate the number of times my straight female friends have told me, "I wish you were a guy. I would have married you if you were a guy." The casual homophobia of that remark aside, it hurts that I seem to "have it all" personality wise, but my only shortcoming is that I'm not a man. Is the woman I'm into bisexual? In that case, it's more complicated. My anatomy is not the barrier here. But there are other things a man or a straight presenting relationship can provide a woman that I cannot in a world that's still largely homophobic - safety from bigotry, social approval/acceptance, and in many countries where same sex marriages are not legal, the opportunity to get married and have a family some day. We will always have to fight harder and endure more difficulties if we're two women in a public relationship. It will always be easier with a man. Of course, that may not be the real or only reason why a bisexual woman chooses to be with someone else. Maybe she's just not into me. But if I am insecure or in denial, my mind would project that as one of the reasons. He can give her something I can't.

Yeah, this is a very good comment. I was just going to say that it’s a huge complicated thing that is talked about quite a lot and there are endless hours of conversation to be had about it!

Also, following from your ‘bi’ section, there’s then the ‘gay but can’t be out so picks the guy over you’ category and that one’s a stinger as well as really sad
