Sometimes we just go through dry seasons (Isaiah 50:10-11). We can’t always feel ‘fulfilled’ emotionally unless Jesus chooses to make His presence felt.☺️ Can anyone help me understand how to get closer to Christ? I have been seeking Him for all joy in prayer and Scripture. But I seem to not break through. 😮‍💨🙏

If someone claims to be a christain then go visit the widows and orphans is their afflictions and give to the poor and needy without judgement only our Lord and Saviour can judge the righteous. Both simultaneously true: · _Psalm 73:25 (NIV)_ 25 _Whom have I in heaven but you?_ _And earth has nothing I desire besides you._ · _Genesis __2:18__ (NIV)_ 18 _The Lord God said,_ _“It is not good for the man to be alone._ _I will make a helper suitable for him.”_ Was God enough for Adam? No... according to God. Adam needed something (someone) more. Not good to have just God. Yet nothing on earth but God is what I desire. Adam wasn't looking for a wife. YHWH brought her to Adam as he went about serving God, his role as a garden keeper, dominion over the animals, as a human being on earth. Content in God, in our service to Him, and He supplies our other needs. That's the complete/whole truth. Statements phrased like "God is enough" / "I only need God" are a bit misleading about what Scripture fully says, and what God fully reveals about our human needs. He's not our only need. And He's not enough / not good to just have Him (according to Him). He's ultimately the only Supplier we need, but He's supplying precisely because we have needs for something (if not someone) other than Him on earth, even if we don't desire to have it, He sees we need it. We're "flock" creatures (the sheep of His pasture). So He provides a way to be a part of (or grow) that flock. Wherever two or three are gathered...

David felt forsaken because of his own conscience...when he realised the depth of what he did. Its when we arent challenged..thats when there is something seriously wrong. As for coveting? in my line of work I have had to help out placing the Dead in Coffins. Nothing makes you think more about Life and Death more than that. Worst part is I have known most of them (its a small town) there they lay, in a shroud...all thier dreams and hopes finished..some probably wanted to die, after several years of bedbound bad health. Very poignant. We get to take NOTHING with us.

God's plan for you is perfect and will not rob you of satisfaction. Instead of demanding He do things your way in your time, draw near to Him and find His will for your life. If necessary do it day by day, "Lord what do You have for us (Him and you) today?" You might have your eyes set on something you think will satisfy you -- when God, your Maker, has something even better for you than you can imagine. You're holding yourself in an unnecessary prison by expecting God to give you what you think is best, instead ask Him what is best. Leave your desires and your unmet needs at the foot of the cross and see what God will do for you, with you, instead. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all that you do and He will show you which path to take. Prov 3:5-6 To God alone be glory.

I didn't get saved until later in life. I know men. I, for one, am soooo thankful I don't have to have one. They are messy, they have bad smells, they require your attention, you're required to submit completely to them... Trust me, you can be totally content without a man, in fact, you can be thankful, even thrilled, that you didn't have to have one. I am. To God alone be glory.

I’m sorry for your experience, because it’s nothing else but your experience, but this writing of yours is sexist. I too am a man. And I too am a child of God. I am rapidly approaching 35 His will still isn't crystal clear at all......been in His silence rapidly approaching 8 YEARS.......you talk about BRUTAL LOVESICKNESS. I HAVEN'T FELT HIM OR HEARD ANYTHING FROM HIM IN ALMOST 8 LONG YEARS. I WAS 27 WHEN I ENTERED THIS WILDERNESS NOW I AM ALMOST 35. ALMOST A DECADE OF HANGING ON. ONE BRUTAL DECADE ALMOST.... Assuming you are an American like I am, we have it wayyyyy better than those in other parts of the earth who are being skinned and burnt alive for their faith. Be grateful.

Rightly dividing the word of truth admittedly I don't know exactly, but the rest of the verse seems plain enough to make up for any lack of knowledge on the last bit: "Be diligent to show yourself approved of God, a worker who is not ashamed..." meaning show yourself a true born again child of God (by the help of the indwelling Holy Spirit of course) through bearing fruit through good works and moral living to the best of your ability. And if and where you fall short, the Spirit will do the rest for you, you can always call on Him and ask for His help. God bless.

It simply means to understand the word of God, and be able to explain it according to the wisdom of God. Without distorting the meaning or contradicting it. Stay blessed.
