If God doesn't exist, that means there is no Moral Law. Which means there is no good, correct. So how do you know there is a bad if there is no good in the first place? See, the moment you remove God, there is absolutely nothing. And life won't exist.

How do you know bad things exist? If God doesn't exist, good doesn't exist right. Because there will be no Perfect Moral Law, and no Creator of the Good Laws. So if good doesn't exist. How do you know there's a bad? You see how stupid your question is? Without God, there is nothing.

So many things he says you can just turn around and it counters itself. He counters a few times that the other guy says things based on assumptions, but he himself assumes even more things. Of course god can be something or would most definitely be something which we can't possibly comprehend, but how does that thought process default to that god exists. If we can't understand something or perceive something there's nothing we can do to prove it so why would the conclusion of this argument be that there is definitely a god. If at all it should default to the conclusion that we can't prove, so it doesn't exist. Did he give those random reasons at 0:55 to prove what point? I guess he wants to focus more on the emotionall irrationality of decision making we humans possess which most other living things on this planet don't. But we can measure our emotions and it makes sense why we feel that way, why does he say we can't measure. Yes the brain is extremely complex and we don't understand most of it but he essentially goes back to a thought which made us believe in god in the first place. We can't explain what these lights at the night sky are, so there must be a higher being and a god. Now we don't understand our own brain good enough which gets us to the conclusion that there must be a god? Just because we don't understand things doesn't mean that we know what it means which it literally says on it's own. This guy sounds more like a lot of empty words, he tries to tell a story and to control the conversation by pivoting into a different direction as soon as someone asks something he doesn't like. Nothing he says explains anything to be honest, am so confused. I don't have anything against people who believe in god. I think everyone has to find their own motivations and belief systems in which they can trust and through which they can find strength. It can be any religion, any hobby, any friend or just yourself. It can literally be anything, you just have to find it.

God is the uncreated creator. He's outside of CREATION or he wouldn't be God like us. The negative things happen because human beings told God to get lost... we sin everyday that's a middle finger to God. We hate God pleasure and love sinful instant pleasure. So the consequences of our telling God to back off is cancer, famine, starvation, wars, diseases even natural disasters you name it etc. God created us and this world perfect with 0 defects, the whole earth was subject to human as we are in His image. A lion wouldn't dare eat a child it it had been staving for a month. But sin came in the picture and these are the consequences of that sin. But God wants us to inherit that righteous world back, that perfect sinless world with no disease, starvation and death. That through Jesus Christ, you just have to be humble enough to admit that you sin and you need the help of God to get rid of that sin through Christ. Are you going to do it??

2:30 - "If an entity that is so powerful is supposed to be conceptualized and completely understood within the matter that resides inside of our heads, then it wouldn't really be worth worshipping, would it?" luke thought he was clever here but really just disproved every single theistic religion ever. They've claimed to have 'figured out' all of the innerworkings of God via their sacred texts (Bible, Quran, Torah) in a way that just so happens to conveniently reflect the morality of the time period they were written, rather than that of an omniscient presence like really, is homophobia the best an all-knowing god is capable of? Is cutting off the fingers of every thief the best an all-knowing god is capable of? Is paying off a rape victim instead of being punished the pinnacle of morality? FUCK no. Just a mere 2,000 years later, a cosmic blip compared to however long God has supposedly been here, and us humans---impossibly stupid and infantile creatures compared to an omniscient being---we've already achieved a much higher level of morality than the holy texts seem to provide us with. So what has happened? It is clear that theology is merely anthropology; a chronicle of how humanity coped with the question of existence and meaning. Pretty inspiring stuff, but it's just the past now.

Great, but obviously religion does not lead most of the societies now, and apparently nope we haven't achieved a better moral reality than what their texts say, we have failed to create an alternative moral system and the United States of America in particular western civilization in general is good as an example of that. Second point that's true, I mean you didn't worship your cat which has a mind that's inferior to you, you don't respect the intellect of your peers that much, but we are hard wired to like and admire what's higher than us, so yes God has to be overwhelmingly superior to us, cause one of the factors of worship, submission is to respect and humble oneself down which happens automatically with any respectful superior entity. Another point, the Quran and the bible never claimed to have completely understood and figured out god and the wisdom behind everything. And I can actually state some verses that state the complete opposite where God said that we aren't going to fully understand him not the wisdom behind all life factors, so put that in mind. Is cutting the finger of a thief the best of what God can do, nobody said that, God didn't say that's the best or the worst, it's all about submission and abiding by the rules and the results will happen cause actually the cause and effect doesn't really exist and you have to obey and you will get the results even if the means you used physical and logically suppose to not bring about these certain results God can make them happen, cut them hand stealing will be lesser and lesser, side note that this rule of cutting the hand doesn't apply during the famines and extreme necessities so it's not black and white.

@@salmansana3997 that's interesting, but if the texts themselves claim to be an incomplete account of what God was really saying then that gives me even less reason to believe in them. Divine revelation is really fickle, it affects everyone differently and should pretty much never be trusted. Then I guess what it really comes down to is whether you have a need to believe in a higher power or not---I've been atheist for so long that I would be lying to myself if I tried to believe in God. Once a man has conviction it's hard as hell to change his mind, so you're gonna look for causal connections trying to prove the existence of God subconsciously without even knowing it, and I will do the same for the absence of God.

@@bonkchoy5544 First of all, I like the style of your response, no attempts to ridicule the opposite side, no mockery, and no insults. props to you. Second I never said that the text claimed it's not complete in conveying what God said, I said the text itself when it comes to the Quran didn't offer complete information about God, but only some, the book title is not (know everything about God) or (how to understand God from A to Z) it's his words to us a revelation for us to get a specific message, mainly it goes around these points 1- We were created. 2- We are being tested. 3- You have limited time here. 4- You have to figure out the questions about God in your lifetime. 5- We will die. 6- it's not going to be the end. 7- There is hellfire and heaven. 8- and it talks about the messengers that he sent before and their people's different reactions to the messages. 9- it provides some details and information about God, us, hell, and heaven. 10- Past stories and a lot of legislation and rules. So its job isn't to give detailed information about God in the first place, and it is 100% complete I assure you, no mistakes, nothing was changed, a total mathematical precision and more.
