I’ve never sent cards in to be graded. I would rather spend my money on the actual cards. However, I am considering sending in to SGC some vintage first black baseball players in MLB. I just think for that set of 20 or so players that I would like them in slabs, as I already have a few of them in slabs, including my 56 Jackie Robinson. I store my common sets in binders and the Hall of Fame players in the sets in top loaders in the same binders in four to a sheet holders. I like the way that I can look at them anytime I want without needing to shuffle and touch all the cards.

Not too many collectors now.
@searchingforsportscards71272 ай бұрын
@@Hobbyrants I would disagree with that statement. There are a lot of us that collect, we just aren’t nearly as vocal. The flippers are what we see because they’re always trying to move product.

@@searchingforsportscards7127 I'll rephrase. When tons of 40 something yr old guys got in the hobby in 2020, its was to grade and make money. The reason I say this is before the pandemic, no one was grading at the level now. Most collectors that I knew prior to the pandemic would never send their cards in for grading because they were scared they would get lost or damaged. End of story that's why grading was so low prior to the pandemic. It's all a game of hot potato with 90 percent of cards. I started a channel complaining about the state of the hobby. Gonna cover a ton of stuff.

@@searchingforsportscards7127you can move product without being a flipper. Quite the generalization there bud.

@@KRYSTALLAKESESTATESHOA I’m definitely less concerned about value as I don’t flip very many cards. I sell raw cards on occasion and slab some of my PC cards.

psa slab broke the exact same way ---- dropped on tile and hit the edge and cracked it. Dont worry though PSA only charges you full price again. hahaha
