Hi everyone! Today's deck profile doubles as a semi-discussion video where I honestly talk about the viability of Gren Maju. Is it better just to commit to a rank 8 focused strategy? Is Gren still viable?

Did you try running 2-3x Sauge de Fleur with Lunas? You Normal Summon Luna, then in hand you activate Sauge de Fleur, targeting Luna and opponents card -> Quick effect luna to bounce. This way you keep both luna and you get sauge de fleur on field, while bouncing enemy card. Its pretty strong. Also another card that can be run is 3x Incredible Ecclesia with 1x The Iris Swordsoul, its also cool and strong combo to get level 8 for free.

Great list! I have been running the castle of stromberg package and looking to try this build but 3X Fenrir is outside my budget. Any suggestion on what I can run instead?

One of my favorite decks. I like to call it Rank 8 turbo deck. From my experience 42 is the perfect number of cards.

i've experimented with running some level 7 kaijus i.e. 1 radian and 1 sticky string with 2 gadarla/2 gameciel/1 dogoron. i figured if you have 2 kaijus in your hand or a slumber, you can special the level 7 onto your opponent's field. extra names help with making sure there's targets for slumber to go off, and i've even had it help me get over earth barrier statue during naturia match. they are also charmer link targets :)

it's actually maybe worth playing a lvl 7 kaiju for diff names if your not playing trade in as it's basically impossible to be in a situation where it being lvl 8 would matter

I used to pkay a level 7 kaiju in my build, here's the main reasons I don't anymore: -Yishan's Kaiju math video indicates the benefit is small. -I play Mind control/Change of Heart and it's useful to have 8s to steal. -Both Radian and Kumungous have a def over 2200 so you can't pop them with Pain Gainer (by the way, for this reason I think Dogoran is better or equal to Gamaciel). Kumungous is a dark for Allure though, so if you play that it might be worth it.

Have you tried running 3x Clockwork Night? It does conflict with Alpha so it must be played first before Clockwork

what would a good gren support look like in your opinion?

I think support for ?/? monsters would be sick. LIke a normal spell that adds a ?/? monster to hand or a link 1 that take ?/? monster and does something cool, so it makes dead eaters and grens do something.

What's your opinion on Lonefire Blossom -> Necro Fleur -> destroy with Interrupted Kaiju Slumber or Gizmek Orochi effect -> Sorciere de Fleur -> summon opponent monster -> Zombie Dragon/etc... Or is this too convoluted?

When I play against Runick I just max out on eater and Gren then smack em for a bazillion when I know they don’t have an out. Can’t activate Runick interrupts when there ain’t enough in deck to banish

Isn’t Arise-Heart nearly unplayable in this deck because the field spell needs to resolve in order to xyz summon with just Fenrir?

I always preferred the Golden Castle version for gren maju, and it feels so much better when going first unlike the Kaiju version. We also have more ways to pop card on the field with Hexe Trude, glife sometimes so vs trap deck it's not that bad. But i still play some lava golem and super poly, it depends of your local if you prefer playing with kaiju and no super poly. Let's just ban number 89 and we are way better cause stromberg mandatory effect every standby phase kills us 😂

used a similar deck at a 500 player event and still didn't do great this deck really has a lot of issues playing against spright it's almost impossible gettin 2 lvl 8's on board going second against that one and i had to play 4 spright decks that day and dropped at 2/3 ._.

If you're struggling with Spright try maining or siding more board wipes (like raigeki/dark hole). They don't usually have multiple S/T negates so opening multiple board wipes including slumber can clear their field or leave it vulnerable to a Kaiju and their followup is weak rn even if you don't manage to kill them.

@@TheShapestofSnatches i played against 2 people that played melffy's in the deck so they were able to play arc light twice usually the endboard was sprind, Ki-Sikil, IP and Arc-light

If its a grenless gren its not a gren deck. Why call it that. Dumb. Take out the grens and you just made a different deck, even if 2/3rds the cards were the same. I dont understand the point of this upload.
