Is Gunvolt ACTUALLY BETTER than Mega Man?

Well it is by the guys that made Mega Man Zero games, so that might be why it feels like that. They also did ZX , as well as 9 & 10. and Mighty No 9. The 8 bit styled spinoff Mighty Gunvolt, is definitely closer to Mega Man though.

Just gonna give my perspective as someone who likes the games. The big thing to note, it's an score attack game. That being said I'm more of an GV2, Ix1 and GV3 fan than GV1. If you want something closer to Megaman X I highly recommend Gravity Circuit. It's a great blend of the X and Zero series. That game became a quick favorite of mine.

I feel like playing on hard mode is a lot more like megaman. IIRC it completely removes level grinding (you can't level up), farming for equipment (you can't get any) and it ramps up the challenge a lot. No getting around the passive damage thing though. At least not until Gunvolt 3 or iX were you play different characters.

@@RNGGaming-nv6zi the first one is ok, if you stand still andd double tap down, you are invincible to anything, this works in luminous avenger ix 1 aswell, but is balanced out in later gamers ix2 is a much better game, plays alot more like a megaman x game. @@RNGGaming-nv6zi It kind of drove me away from the series, unfortunately,; It just isn't my thing. It'd have been nice if Mighty Gunvolt had continued though- Mighty Gunvolt Burst is basically peak Mega Man.

Unfortunate that you didn't like the game, probably my 4th favorite game ever. Guess it's just not your style and that's fine, Having fast reaction skills is key to playing this game aswell as a want to learn the games score system centered around "Kudos" to get S+ ranks on stages. Maybe it was the megaman x exploration and boss patterns for you, but I dont know why this game would seem worse for you when you seem to like megaman x. Also Prevasion (The thing that makes you invincible when energy levels are above 0) makes the game too easy, which is why the games main motivation is for the player to learn how to not get hit on levels when going for high ranks.

I liked it! I just didn't love it as much as I thought I would. The gameplay was fine, and I would have put some more time into it. But honestly, the art style and characters were the big turn off for me. Thanks for watching and commenting

Yea I didn't like it either. Enjoyed protodroid delta though, it's a 3d MegaMan X though it gets more fun after getting the weapons and mobility upgrades, skipped a lot of meter upgrade challenges until I got them.

It's not trash talk! I was just pointing out the flaws with it. 😆 It was a good game with a couple of really glaring issues holding it back. Should I have heaped praise on it... then still given it a 7/10?
