Picked up the Harbor Freight Chief Professional Long Barrel Air Hammer CH401LB a couple weeks ago ( link below for that video ) and WOW what a beast compared to my old Napa / Sunex Heavy Duty 250 mm Long Barrel Air Hammer SX243. Night and day difference and as shown in this test

That was an impressive win for the Harbor Freight air hammer. I have a Snap-on air hammer, but a comparison test may be in order.👍👍

I have owned my Snap On for over 30 years and only had it serviced once. Someday I will need a replacement and I will be giving the Chief a close look. Thanks Theo!

OK, The Sunex is a great hammer, yet this one sounded choked down, like maybe the regulator on the handle was turned down to slow the air flow. They certainly sounded different. The Chief is a great hammer for sure. Just not convinced on the validity of this test.

Never said the Sunex was not a great hammer have used it for years. It was not choked down the Chief is just more powerful and it was just a simple test nothing more ... thank you for watching

The difference between the Chief and Napa/Sunex is like night and day for sure. I just may have to give the Chief a go. I've seen those Flexzilla hoses and wondered if they were any good. The threaded ends looked like they were aluminum. They were black in color and not brass like I'm used to seeing on typical air hoses.

This video was fun to make for sure LOL. The Flexzilla hose is awesome I have a couple that are over 10 years old no dry rot and still going strong and I never had a problem with them at all ... or local Napa sells Flexzilla fittings and hose so you can custom make whatever you want. Thank you for watching

OMG, just came home with the Chief and haven't tried it yet. $140 + $40 for Chief chisel bit set. I thought driving those nails would be super easy for any air chisel and can't believe those results. What an eye opener and certain I made a great choice. I thought any air chisel could pound those nails easily. I won't be using it often but I need something strong to loosen Gland Nuts and driving cylinder pins out of my J.D. 310C Backhoe plus much more. Getting older and need good tools instead of muscle now. Thanks for the great video.

I think the first two air hammers were driving into knots in the wood and the Chief was driving into rotten wood. No, seriously, great comparison and I will be running down to Harbor Freight to get a Chief air hammer. Thanks for sharing.

I dont like that you failed to hammer in the two remaining nails. Wood can be different. Can have rotting or knots in it. It would have been nice to see the chief finish the other nails.
