I will admit to the following: I found these KtN videos very soon after I had been discarded 2 years ago. For a year, I wanted to deny that he was a narcissist, even though he seemed to be a textbook narcissist according to these videos. After realizing that he most likely had NPD, I convinced myself that he “wasn’t that bad” and he was not really a deviant or malicious narcissist. I told myself that I could handle him. I wanted him to come back to me. Wrong, wrong and wrong. Now I know. Once you know, you go. Get out and stay out. No contact. I don’t want a disordered or possibly dangerous man in my life. My life is much better and happier without him.

Possibly but not because they know what they are and think I am giving the game away, remember, the vast majority of narcissists do not know what they are and the occasional adverse comments tend to come from Mid Range Narcissists who think they are empathic victims - not always, some are from True Victims who are hurting and their emotional response overrides logic so they lash out at me, I understand that and it is not an issue for me. Other times it comes from narcissists and it amuses me.

@LilithLiberated5 жыл бұрын
You are quite right. It is easy to become confused. Especially in the case where there may be some additional mental issues aside from the narcissism itself which can complicate matters. I’ve honestly found some of the narcissistic techniques used to be helpful. To paint the person black in my mind. Of course their status there is not dependent on anyone else’s behaviour and I can keep them painted black permanently. But essentially to think of them as a non-or partial person makes emotional disengagement more possible. As an empath we are always seeing the other persons side. If they have to become a non-person in my mind for me to be free, then that is what I will do. It’s not as though they deserve any further consideration.

Good afternoon HG, pity this advice , was not available 60 years ago, as I commented on other videos,I might not have married my husband, I was constantly abused emotionally , yes there were periods of calm/happiness, but, everything you have stated happened over and over again. I realised, too late, that I had been used , abused emotionally , physically,lied to,humiliated, but it was always my fault. Thank you You provide a valuable service, for those who are in the position I found my self in, get out, sooner than later, hold your head up high, and get on with your life don't sacrifice yourself on the Narcissists's Altar

Here is some narc control for you, My ex would punish a pet because he is mad at me, because our daughter has not spent time with him for the past 2 months. He forced a pet rabbit on me. I told my daughter for a year no more pets! i cant afford to feed any more. My health has gone down and im no longer working. He bought her a rabbit anyway. I told him i was buying nothing for this pet, he agreed. Though i have still been buying his veggie treats at times. Now because she wont go with him. and i stopped speaking to him 2 weeks ago, because he said something unforgivable to me. He refuses to buy what the rabbit needs. He was told the money i have left goes to buying food for our daughter, (he pays never a dime of child support her entire life) So if the rabbit gets. Our daughter goes without. He could give not a single shit! She finally realized what he is at age 14. She is sick of his drinking, she is sick of him not caring about her feelings, and using emotional black mail and threats to try and win her back, She finally saw what he does to me too. He lost his little flying monkey that thought mommy was unstable. I wish i could call spca on him for neglect. If i did not think this bunny was so sweet i would pack him up, and take him to my exes house! (where he has lived the last several years rent free) My daughter has grown bored with him and i spend more time with him now. These monsters will stoop to such a low level. Should have been a warning sign many years ago he had no real care for animals. He has never looked after any of his pet properly. Except the cat he has now. And that is only because he suffers from anxiety and is alone most of the time.

HG, How did you get a picture of my victim-N mid-ranger sister? Well done for underscoring the point of your persuasive presentation yet again, with an entirely apt artistic depiction of the subject. I have others telling me that she isn't a N, despite evidence of her abuse on many occasions over many years, that proves that she is an abusive individual. They've witnessed it themselves. Those others that refuse to believe it give me reasons for that refusal which are unsupported by the facts before them, and which they can't explain away with any logic. Their reasoning doesn't hold water. It's the blinding and obstructive type of emotional thinking that people are quagmired by. I have a clearer idea of what you mean. Actually, it's a form of gaslighting yourself, to say something is happening that there is no evidence for, and the thing that IS happening is called something else which makes it magically disappear in your mind. In terms of research, if under certain circumstances you get the same behavioural results from a person, the same replicable results, the same predictable results, the more times this happens, the higher the validity of the results (I.e. reliability).

OMG. He got through a crack in my no contact plan because I forgot to block him on one app. And all that he said got me asking the same question! I just got off the phone with my brother, saying, "well, he has a lot of the traits, but a lot of them he doesn't have. Maybe what he's saying is true? That he is in love with me and wants to do everything needed to repair? My brother is a minister who has gone into prisons and he was telling me that he has witnessed many inmates arriving at a profound epiphany where they did not want to live life the way they had and so they changed. Surely, they were narcissists when committing their crimes. If they can truly change, can't ours? I do wish there was a litmus test to discern if someone is genuine in their plans for change, or if it's hoovering? Is there a video on that, HG?
