The girls get into talking about their trust issues and how they don't trust men any longer and discuss if they think they'll ever get over that. Idk if Cynthia will ever see this, but I hope someone in her life lets her know that going back to school is possible. I failed out of my "prestigeous" pharmacy school program my sophomore year of college and next year I'm going to graduate with my Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. I thought failing out of my program was the end of the world (sorry I'm overdramatic) and I was terrified of failing again (the imposter syndrome is real). But if there's one thing I learned from that experience, it's that you can't let failure hold you back. I'd also like to note, that everyone progresses at a different pace and there's no rush in life. So, if you don't have time for school right now, don't sweat it, and save it for a time where you feel more mentally prepared.

It makes me feel less alone when Cynthia and Maru speak up about their relationship with their parents compared to the guys’. My parents don’t ask me if I’m okay and tell me I can come to them but whenever I’m sick my mom lets me spend a couple nights at the house and makes me food. It was so frustrating as a child, and still is because with my dad I don’t see him doing stuff that shows he cares but with my mom she does stuff that shows me she does.

Bro hearing a lot of them talking about how them and their parents struggle to communicate and they struggle to open up to their parents made me feel less alone. And hearing Cynthia talk about how shes scared of failing so she would never try to do anything bc she was worried she would fail at the thing she tried at also made me feel so much better about my self bc i struggle with the EXACT same thing. I never did any of my tests at school, i never did any work bc i was scared of failing so i figured i would rather fail without trying than fail even tho i put in effort.
