Is Hua Hin the best place to retire? 🇹🇭

Hua Hin already has vineyards that make wine. In addition, there are 20 beautiful golf courses around Hua Hin. And there is a large water park in the middle of the city.Including 3 standard hospitals and many 5-star hotels. 😊

I brought a Aussie ribeye steak for less than $6 from a expat grocery store here in Pattaya, looked the same as yours once I cooked it 😊

The bus between Pattaya and Hua Hin is really comfortable. Basically a business class seat. Not at all like being crammed into a van and not tiny seats like the gov't run buses. Takes about 5 hours and around 500 baht. Same with the buses to Suvarnabhumi airport. Same company and bus station. Those are around 375baht and take about 3 hours.

Agree....very comfortable & cheap ride from the Airport to Hua Hin, 3 hours. I always take that bus. can be booked online

iT'S STILL THAILAND --- and the visa for retirement is a pain in the ass with visa runs - or - a high dollar investment !!! --?-- Nothing like Cambodia (!) and their over 55 retirement visa ? The best I have found in the world. - - - In my view - Siem Reap simply can't be beat for an ideal retirement destination. No beach - but ''all else'' you might want ? It's so affordable - travel can be done to vacation and get your beach time that way. > No qualifications & no visa runs - for $290 / year @ any travel agent. Unlimited exit & return ! 1 hour flights to Bangkok can be had for fun -- or -- quality affordable medical services. Easy BUS rides from there to Pattaya for about $5 & takes about 2 hours. Beach in Jomtien as well - a bit cheaper and calmer.

I'm wondering if the issue YT is having is not so much with what you may be "posting" about a particular area, but maybe more so with the "reputation" of the area you're posting about? YT advertisers seem to have a lot to say about that kind of thing. I arrived in Thailand recently and I have done more walking in that time than I did in probably the previous 2 months at home, which, of course, is a good thing. And while I have spent 800 baht on occasion on a meal, those are usually offset by the 150 baht meals at the little hole-in-the-wall place I found just across the street from the hotel I'm staying at. I just need to expand my range and find more of those places. I've been trying to get myself situated (mostly on the hunt for a voltage converter, which I still have not found) but soon I'll begin to get out and venture further afield than I have thus far. Minus a side trip next month to the PI, I'll be here for approximately another 3 months so I'll have plenty opportunity to get around. Hoping you and your buddy enjoy your time hanging out and, definitely keep an eye on that foot.

You did not go to a doctor to look at your foot ? The very first thing they teach you in the military is to take care of your feet . Sorry. We are just worry worried. Also . Do you keep it wrapped up all the time ? It needs air when you can put it up ( keep it clean )

Hi hansome...watch the behaviour, you'll notice they look at you when they say that and then have a quick peek at your pocket to see if you carry a fat wallet, nothing genuine about it , EVER, lol. On your transport, do you use Bolt? Same as Uber but much cheaper there, if you are not, download the app, saves a lot of hassle and rip offs....love Thailand, enjoy😊

@brentstrippin8867 That's great, ur living your best life, Asia is the place to be, I'd think there'll be an influx of people disgruntled with the election outcome, my assessment of your privilege of Philippines would be the women being easier to approach, speak English and possibly slightly more genuine when looking for love, while Thailand has more to offer entertainment wise, ease of transport wise and sightseeing wise, not to mention the selection of food being more broad, correct me if I'm wrong 🤟

​@@eurotrash2915 Fluency in English is somewhat hard to find among the majority of the general population in the Philippines. Yes, there are many who speak and understand basics but they tend to have difficulty. It's just not their everyday language of choice. As far as being more genuinely looking for love, women are the same everywhere in the world, security and a relationship with someone that can provide for them is wanted. In Thailand women will provide for their parents. Filipinas provide for their parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, etc.

Philippines is a good place to go vegetarian, that about sums up the meat situation there. Everywhere else in Asia you can get a decent steak. I only hear good things about Hua Hin.

@@brentstrippin8867 that is the right thing to do . I did a lot of hunting and fishing in my life . Camping/ climbing as well . growing up in Canada we are always braking something or getting stitches . Falling off motorcycles . Lol . Just really keep a eye on it in Cambodia. Lots of things can get you there .
