23 year old country singer Hunter Wolkonowsk blew judges away with her American Idol audition of Rascal Flats Riot and earned the competition’s first-ever Platinum ticket in the process.
Hunter goes by the name Huntergirl and is from Winchester Tennessee. On her website, Huntergirl explains she began performing at her Grandfather’s church around the age of three and by the age of nine she had begun writing songs. At fourteen, Huntergirl began performing across the United States, and in 2014 she won the Texaco Country Showdown at just 15 years old. After graduating high school, Hunter moved to Nashville Tennessee, and soon found herself playing at downtown venues such as Tootsie’s, Rippy’s, Crazy Town, Luke Bryan’s, and HonkyTonk Central. While in Nashville, Hunter attended Middle Tennessee State University and earned her degree in Recording Industry and Music Business. She also won several songwriting contests including the Nashville Songwriter Association International songwriter contest in 2016 and 2017 and Nashville’s Nash Next competition that same year.
Now in the Top 24, it's up to viewers to determine if Huntergirl advances to the American Idol Top 20.

This young lady with all her accolades, opening for superstar artists, being a singer/songwriter, her music and business savvy from college, and having the greatest marketability of all the other contestants should be the next American Idol.

Some artists choose not to be signed by a major record label. She’s trying to establish herself on her own. Not the label telling her what she can and cannot sing. She’s a song writer first.

I'm for Noah all the way. She's so advanced that I don't think that's fair. Like Carrie Underwood said...I came from a small looking to follow my dreams. I came with a voice and that was it. Noah came in to Idol just like her and that's why she got so emotional. I believe in my heart she wants Noah to take it because she relates to him more than anyone ❤️❤️. Huntergirl has a great Country voice and she is very well seasoned. I am kind of on the fence about is it fair for someone like Huntergirl who has open for many stars all over the country, has released her own singles, she has won many contests for her singing and songwriting and has worked as a paid professional against someone like Noah who was pushed into auditioning by a friend. Noah has a great voice but he’s just a simple guy who is a Carpender, he hasn’t sung anywhere other than for friends and Family. He has never been paid to perform so that would mean he is considered an amateur. Is it fair for someone like Huntergirl Who has been doing paid Performances professionally since she’s been 14 to a Carpender who has no performance background and is a total amateur with a great voice. What do you think?

Carrie Underwood's voice has range and purity that very few people can achieve. Hunter Girl is very talented. I am really enjoying hearing the work that Hunter Girl has already done outside of American Idol. I love watching the budding young stars when I discover they have what it takes. Her song writing ability is amazing. She is educated in the industry and has a pitch perfect beautiful story telling voice. I cannot get enough. I have never pined to see someone live. I am officially now waiting to buy a ticket to watch her sing live for 90 minutes or more.

Ok, I am neutral as i don't watch AI much anymore unless someone catches my ear and eye like Grace did last season and now Hunter Girl. this year. I love this girl. She is the BEST of the remaining 5 singers. Just cause I think shes the best does not mean the voters do. I'm 60 and the average voter is a lot younger and a VERY different set of ears and like. Even if Hunter Girl doesn't win I bet Luke Bryan's record label will sign her. He will promote her and possibly take her on a future tour with him. That should be enough to take her to stardom that she so deserves. I feel like IF the judges could vote all 3 would vote for her to win Idol. They know a star when they see one 😉

She will not win. She is gpod no doubt. And I like Country same as a lot of America. But the pulse of America is different now. Covid, the economy, politics all a disaster dragging on. She is good but even Luke seems to be questioning her competing against some of the others which seem to be really reaching out with creativity. She only has to continue to stay on cue picking the right songs. But she is very good. She wins regardless as she has already released some singles during this contest. But she will definetly be in the top 3 and I expect she wins or is runner up. Just an upbeat very talented woman that the world needs to see and hear more of. But there are some great ones competing with her. Fritz coming into his own also. Another Steve Winwood at least to me. And there's a place for his music too.
