Tinkaton honestly feels like a character that was made for INTing. Getting those hammer stacks early on, even if you die a lot in the beginning, still lets you snowball pretty hard late game.

@@Joe-yg1cx I think that’s kinda the point. With stun being so common why shouldn’t Ice Hammer be able to freeze. Besides giving stun to ice hammer is what would make it actually worth using for following up with gigaton hammer.

@@Snook531 True.. but for the game itself that stun would be a problem. Imo, stuns is on of or even the biggest problem in the game. Even if there is a pokemon (new or old [for old pokemon: get a buff in the next patch]) with a move that ohko a pokemon (any pokemon), the developers will only nerf the damage on that move the patch after that not including any other problems such as stun duration in the game. My point is, stun already a problem in the game and you can even saw latest uploads from chris that even he can't move for 10 seconds (it's exaggerating). This game literally gives every single pokemon a stun abilty and it's getting annoying to a point once u're stunted, u're basically dead (like first release sableye where it can kill any tanky pokemon because of it stun). The stun problem is an issue + they just nerfed the full heal a while back (idk, i just played this game again) which are the only way to counter stun (well except abilty of espeon, glaceon etc). So, my opinion is please don't give this move a stun bonus. Just don't please. But about ur reply, yes, what u're saying is right. It will make sense to give a stun. I just don't want another stun in the game

I think the answer to make it better is more survivability (pocket blissey was the biggest reason for that 300k game) and a bit more range. Be it heals or just more defenses on using ice hammer or simple damge reduction for x seconds after using it. Just any of these simple QOL changes can work for ice hammer. Tho giving it stuns might work too but I think most of us don't want any more unnecessary stuns in this game and it's just too boring.

I think the biggest issue with Ice Hammer is just the opportunity cost. Ice Hammer fills a clear role in Tinkaton’s kit, it’s useful, it’s just not as good as Theif. I like using Ice Hammer into teams with a lot of ranged Pokémon. If there is more melee than range, then Theif is just strictly better

Ice Hammer Tinkaton reminds me of Aqua Tail Gyarados in that this move just feels so isolated from the rest of its kit. Ice Hammer provides burst mobility but it's clunky to work with Gigaton Hammer which needs to be charged. Its synergy with Smack Down is awkward as well since Smack Down's max range is vastly further than Ice Hammer so you can't do max range Smack Down into Ice Hammer burst combo, not that Ice Hammer even does that much damage anyway.

I'm not sure how consistant it is but there is a nifty animation cancel you can do with Ice Hammer. After the slam from Gigaton Hammer you can immediately dash with Ice Hammer. Could be a nice way to surprise folks that think they can jump on you if you whiff a hammer

Maybe Ice Hammer shold leave a mark on the floor. So not an insta stun, but something that stuns if you stay on the place too long (similar to that Glaceon's move) That way it's not a stun chain with Gigaton Hammer, but also at least leaves you on a good position if you're committing to brawl with the move.

Something you should know about the Ice deck is that it would be used a lot if there were better handling of it in the game, such as the defenses that almost do not exist and the Ice deck that takes damage from rivals, well, they did not give it importance because there is only oversaturated damage and it makes an ability like that unviable, which would be good for Tinkaton and taking advantage of the distance of several offensive players.

For me it can't compete vs Theif . Theif give both defend movespeed lower enemy defend boosted atk charge faster mean more heal . meanwhile Ice hammer give a little hop and slow while lower enemy dmg

I feel like the mon itself sets itself back so hard if it doesnt get max stacks within the first few minutes of the game. And then it has very little range for a mon wielding a giant hammer. It needs allies to set up Gigaton Hammer or the enemies will just get out no problem. As much as i like Tinkaton, i feel that it kinda needs some buffs and tweaks.

its not terrible its just situational. Going thoef isnt gonna be very effective if most of the team is pretty squishy defensively whoch by proxy means they hit very hard. So going ice hammer to not only gap close on them it makes them hit less hard and make you hid harder effectively having the same benefits as thief just using the reverse method

Unfortunately I think thief just does everything better. It does more damage on hit, the sped up boosted cooldown makes you heal more and stack easier, and despite both technically making you survive longer thief's effect lasts longer and helps your whole team do more damage to who you hit. Ice hammer could maybe use a little buff but I think nerfing thief is more important

Ice Hammer is a REALLY underwhelming move. The dash is clunky, gets stuck on walls easily, and the slow feels non-existent. The damage sucks, even with x60 stacks. It doesn't do enough to ever justify using it over thief. Slow, clunky dash attack that barely slows and can't hit enemies on top of you. Or a generous movement speed buff that increases defenses while shredding enemy defenses, does more dmg, gives more life steal, and makes stacking passive easier. If you need a reliable blink to gap close enemies, then just use Eject Button. Maybe it has some potential against squishy teams with a lot of range. But even then thief arguably helps you stay alive better

This mon is so slow and badc especially comparing to other All rounders For example, If you see a Gardevoir, before you can charge your moves, you will get to half health and or kited. Mimikyu in comparison can latch on and delete Gardevoirs or any number of mons. Yes Mimikyu is OP but a modern All rounders should be somewhat well in comparison to Mimikyu to compare
