This is so accurate! I travelled in India when I was 19 with friends and 25 alone and always felt safe. People stare because you look curious and more often than not, go out their way to make sure you’re safe. Of all the countries I’ve been to, it’s the one I know I will always go back to for that “peace within the chaos” 🙏

It's not safe for women to walk around at night in the United States, especially in the big cities. Like you said, if you dont do something at home, like walking around alone at night, dont do it in another country, always be very aware of your surroundings, and if you feel like aomething is off, then get out of there.

You can not put an envelope of culture around n prevent him from eating certain forbidden fruit , now a days children have access to everything even if u don't want . N these movies objectify women n d relationships even more, why they need to be so vulgar . Sorry I know I sound orthodox n I know this is their mentality , n movies n all can't just be blamed but it has undeniable impact .

It's so hard to imagine when people say India is like no other country. Like then I don't even know what to expect haha. But the media really is just a source of driving fear of the unknown that is really problematic. When I told my parents I was going to stay in Hungary they started talking about political unrest that I haven't heard of (because I don't watch much news) and that they felt uncomfortable with me living there... I was like really..?! I haven't even noticed a thing in 7 months of living here. If it's up to the media you would never leave your house. This is also one of the reasons why I don't watch the news like when I was young and starting to read the paper and like every single day X people got stabbed or robbed and X houses burned down. It would make me feel like my house could burn down any second and I would potentially be stabbed or robbed around every corner and that is no way to live.

And they don´t even care . In the whole you are right especially with: You hate India or you love it for the rest of your life.My love was not a love at first sight. When I was in India for the first time I hated it but just for 8 or 10 days. Then came up interest and when I came back to Germany I missed India...I can´t express how much I missed it! I left my heart in India and I came back 5 times to get it back. But it is still in India. After this Corona - bullshit I will go there again and I hope all my Indian friends stay well and healthy. @@madalenacaldas7666 you should stay away from old Delhi if you want to enjoy India .old Delhi is worst part of India . If you land in Delhi move to other parts to Delhi like new Delhi , Connaught place ,south Delhi etc . For westerner Himalayan States are better than deserts of Rajasthan. South India is also good .

Are you gonna tell me with a straight face that India is safer to women compared to Japan or Korea? @@astorlefflinker8417 Nothing could be more disheartening for me than hearing this.. I cannot give you a reasonable explanation for what happened, but I can tell you a fact that when it comes to rapes - then (statistically) India is much safer than many western countries including GBR as well as USA. Other than that, I'd like to say that uncertainties happen everywhere, even in the safest of places.. In India, as urbanization is taking place, there are always people who are new to the cities and importantly they may have never saw a foreigner in their life...so they stare at you...at tourist places they might want to take a picture with you like you are a celeb...Enjoy the attention!!! Another reason for staring is wearing too much revealing clothes...please avoid. It is not a common thing here. Saw many western women wearing revealing clothes but no one molested...but still.

And then to Goa so that you can find others foreigners at that place and will give you some confidence . And don't forget to talk to locals specially girl student if you are female solo Traveller they will tell you everything about how to manage anything in local regions and they will also be happy to host you as guest . Hope it is informative to you

As an Indian I have to say it’s not safe for women to travel alone in India. You are very positive about everything. Specially do not talk to strangers. Hiring a genuine guide will really help you. If you are a women traveling alone, do not let the strangers know that you are traveling alone. If traveling alone Try to come back to the room or hotel before 7 pm. After alcohol consumption all the men do not think the same way. Please do not take it easy from this vlog. One should be very careful specially women traveling alone. Guys get robbed once in a while but for women it’s a different story. You never know until it happens. One can just check what the statistics say about the problems faced by Indian women everyday.

I suppose if you are a little nervous about going anywhere as a solo female traveller then booking on a tour, although expensive can provide you with great reassurance and safety which can, in turn, make the trip and the destination a more enjoyable experience. Inside Our Suitcase Book train tickets in advance there is a waiting period for many trains. Only travek First Class AC or second class AC or don't travel by train( don't shit about how filthy our trains our by travelling in the worst train compartment, seen many videos about those) There are some luxury trains for y'all too. OYO or MakeMyTrip for hotels, Delhi though the capital is pretty congested ( there's a reason for it, cause during partition people ran for their lives to settle here) it has the best food but you'll be disappointed by population density here. Kerela,Goa, Northeast,Hill Stations of North and highly recommended. Try to interact with people, learn some working Hindi phrases to bargain cause many people will use dollar to rupee conversion to their advantage :P Everything is readily available and DIRT CHEAP
