Vanakkam. This was what india did in srilanka. They trained and armed tamil ellam freedom fighters against srilankan troops. In the end they banned the freedom fighters. They armed the srilankan troops and put end to the civil war with thousands of tamils there being killed. The former prime minister of srilanka said they fulfilled india's wish and completely cleaned up the tamils ellam freedom fighters. Myanmar rebels must be careful not to fall into this trap by india.

Not a bad move. First it would align with democratic ideals of India to support pro-demoracy revolutionaries of myanmar who are fighting the authoritarian china funded dictator of myanmar, hence solidifying India's position as a champion of democracy in the world. Secondly, China is already funding huge amount of money to the Junta, so there is no point in trying to mollify the junta from our end. Rather focus on the rebels who have already won huge amount of territories in Myanmar.
