Well said Joe! One thing I would love to ask, and this has been something that I have been wondering for such a while now, and I’m sorry if this sound silly, but I often find it difficult to find a reason why we should reveal the truth when individuals are under the protection of invincible ignorance. Wouldn’t it be harder on them if they found out that they were wrong, since this would mean that they MUST turn to the truth, which might cause challenges. For example, I’m wondering wether, and I understand that what I might say sound crazy, I should share my faith to individuals living in muslim households. I say this because, even though I would love it if they would accept Jesus in their hearts, I understand that such a conversion is extremely challenging for the muslim, especially in very traditional households. The thing that worries me is that, after them knowing that which is true, and, because of their households, deny it, they would not have the protection of invincible ignorance as had before. Basically what I am trying to say with all of this is this: Should we still try to convert them even when we can expect them to have such difficulty and such ease to reject truth, or should we let them live in their invincible ignorance? I think it’s ignorant to say that Jesus did not found a church. Read Matthew 16 again. It’s like a judge said, ignorance of the law is no excuse.

"If I'm not in the church that Jesus is telling me to join then I'm in for condemnation" Jesus was Jewish, so he neither created a church (as the term is understood today) nor does he need you to join one. Keep the Commandments and do good works, that is all.

Jesus’ continued implorations that we all be one, that we listen to His apostles, and we take our disagreements to the Church would seem to counter that.

Jesus kept it pretty simple: "Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” 17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’[c] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’[d]” 20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

@@elf-lordsfriarofthemeadowl2039 That's not what church means in the Greek, sorry. Additionally James, not Peter, was the head of the Jesus movement. That's stated directly in Acts and by Paul.

@@ji8044 it turns out that St. Paul mentions Peter as Cephas eight out of 10 times he’s mentioned. Which means rock! Why would Paul say Peter is Cephas if Jesus built his church upon Peter’s faith see Matthew 16:16-19? Also church in Greek is ekklessia I believe. Your analysis of Acts 15 is simply wrong. You’re leaving out important details. Peter is the one who speaks first and settles the substance of the debate. So there you have it. Brethren, you know that in the early days God made choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. And God who knows the heart bore witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us; and he made no distinction between us and them, but cleansed their hearts by faith . . . we believe that we shall be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will (Acts 15:7-11).
