Pray, Meditate and be a pursuer of truth and you will see the fallacy of this video. Careful observation of the context is so key. And read, study, meditate on all the Scriptures with heart to know Jesus and love and obey him. Don't just listen to something that seems to make sense and belief. Follow the author's train of thought like Paul the Apostle. Remember the text again And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law. 4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness. Paul says you....meaning anyone there seeking to be justified by law have fallen from grace then he includes not just himself but those in Galatia whose faith is in Christ has the hope of righteousness. He says for we not I. Those not having faith in Christ but trying to be saved by the law are the ones severed. Whenever someone uses one text without context dont listen to seriously. Challenge! Be a Berean!
@Dennisoh9997 сағат бұрын
Not a good idea to isolate 1 verse. Read the context and the whole letter. But even if you do isolate this. He didnt say the Galatians were severed he said those who seek to be justified by the law are those severed. Salvation is by faith in Christ. Read all the letter to include Romans and many other Scriptures. There were people around them trying to get them to again follow the law. He also addressed them as brethern not as those severed. Sad people don't think salvation is secure. Jesus is my salvation and hope!

St. John states that Sacred Scripture proclaims that Christ is the Son of God and God. If Christ is the Word of God, then to deny that Christ is God is to deny the divinity of the Word of God, as a result of which he calls the Muslims mutilators of God He accuses the Muslims of worshipping the Ka’ba (the cubed shrine in Mecca) and discredits their Abrahamic traditions concerning the Ka’ba.

Nothing in the teaching of the Church is contrary to scripture and nothing in scripture is contrary to the teaching of the Church. But there is a problem with insisting that there must be a scripture verse as a basis for every teaching. That’s not how the Church works. The Church presents the faith in the teaching office of the Church and sacred tradition as well as scripture.

For the Christian GOD, He is One-in-Three essentially and necessarily, and for the Muslim He is One-and-Not-Three, with the divinity of Christ and of the Holy Spirit expressly denied. It is not possible for an orthodox Christian and an ‘orthodox’ Muslim to say the word “God” and mean the same thing thereby.

It just feels odd to me... Jesus is the omniscient creator who knows me... Jesus died for me. And, then, I go to Jesus' mother and ask her to speak to her son on my behalf... Feels plain absurd! (not trying to be disrespectful, but, simply sharing my issues with communion of saints).
@Gerry-jr1mp17 сағат бұрын
Now you have to take that logic to the prophets and apostles who wrote the Bible because it's equally absurd as well as to people praying for each other. Now zoom out. God sends his spirit which acts as a type of electrical current that works through his creation. Therefore, when God convicts someone to pray to him there is a closed loop. God convicts and also fulfils. He is good in who he is and also in his influence on the world. Much more consistent and logical way to see God.
@JesusAlwaysIsGod11 сағат бұрын
@Gerry-jr1mp No. 1. When I pray for somebody for a particular reason, it's somebody I know. Or, it's somebody affected by something I know. 2. When I ask somebody to pray for me, it's somebody I know. I don't know St. John or St. Peter personally. But, I know my pastor personally. And, I know Jesus. See the difference? When I pray for those affected by the wildfires, I know that this is happening in my time to those who live now... I know them better than someone who lived 500 years back, my less 2,000 years ago.

Can we apply just a tiny bit of logic to situations of this sort? Written history goes back at least 5000 years. During that time there have been hundreds of civilizations. Each had its own religion, possibly many. Each religion had its own holy days and each divilization had its own civic holidays. There are only 365 days in the year. Overlap is inevitable and not necessarily causation.

Airtight? 🙈. What a twist of scripture. I'm not even going to elaborate. I'm just blown away by how you create apostolic succession out of nothing. These verses are in a local context. Man, you know how to spin words. But, at least you admit that there is a difference between the original apostles and those succeeding them. That's where all the Catholic theories break down.

This simply is not true: From their own words: According to the New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism, vol 2, question 357, “The mass is the sacrifice of the new law in which Christ, through the Ministry of the priest, offers himself to God in an unbloody manner under the appearances of bread and wine. The mass is the sacrifice of Christ offered in a sacramental manner . . . the reality is the same, but the appearances differ.” Question 358 asks, “What is a sacrifice?” The answer given is, “A sacrifice is the offering of a victim by a priest to God alone, and the destruction of it in some way to knowledge that he is the creator of all things.” From the Baltimore Catechism, we can conclude that the mass is the offering of Christ by a priest. Someone forgot to read the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC)., , the counsel of Trent CCC1055, 1365-1367, 1414. Clearly like the Mormon church the Catholics are trying to reinvent themselves.

The flat earth model is not only biblical, facts support it today. There are a lot of shills supporting it but physics actually supports it too. Take some time to check it out instead of just believing what you’ve been told. Water would not stay on a spinning sphere. “Density” accounts for what is often attributed to “gravity.” When windows are not curved the earth looks flat from a pilot’s window. Bodies of water don’t curve.

“The object of knowledge is not a knowledge of objects. Boethius’ efforts to clarify how we deal with the reality into which we have been created points to the need to differentiate between a spiritual nature (person) and a physical nature. It is because we have a spiritual nature which organizes and guides our physical nature that we attempt to go beyond what is merely apparent to what is truly real. The fact that I do not need to direct every aspect of my physical nature: when I eat I do not direct the digestion or the sharing of energy among the different parts of my body that need it. I merely make sure that I eat a proper and balanced diet. “...let that distinction between Nature and Person hold which I have affirmed, viz. that Nature is the specific property of any substance, and Person the individual substance of a rational nature.””[Stewart H. F. and Rand E. K., “Introduction,” in Boethius: The Theological Tractates and the Consolation of Philosophy, trans. H. F. Stewart and E. K. Rand (Cambridge, MA; London: Harvard University Press; William Heinemann, 1918), 93.]

Why invoke "saints" when you can invoke the Name of JESUS directly. Also do you know the names of the saints in heaven? who decides who's a saint? The pope, right?

Why talk to anyone aside from God alone? Why did he send the Apostles, rather than him sitting on a throne and telling them to just direct people to himself? Because God works through his people.
@Gerry-jr1mp17 сағат бұрын
Because you don't understand that we always worship in a communal context which is why the Bible focuses on tribal covenants and the church as an integrated body of people. So if we pray to each other it glorifies God because he flows through us like an electrical current. Loving your neighbor doesn't mean you hate God. Praying for each other doesn't mean you don't think Jesus can be prayed to yourself. The argument you are presenting is a false dichotomy which means black and white thinking that doesn't fully show who God is.
@Gerry-jr1mp17 сағат бұрын
Why pray for each other when we can pray to God directly for ourselves? Why did God give us prophets and apostles who wrote to us and not just speak to us himself? God is glorified as he works THROUGH his creation because worship has always been communal in the Bible.

Look at founding documents in America and all of South America and you will never, if ever, is Islam or Muslim in the words. That shows you how powerful terrorism is, they put that so called violent religion on the map in the west. They were defeated twice for trying to take over Europe and Christian countries, now they are using the womb. STOP putting that so called "religion" in the same breath as Catholics and Jews, they are not. ALSO, Calvin and Luther disagreed as did Henry and the puritans and the Amish and the mormons and so on and so forth. That's why Jesus designated Peter to be Pope and leader of one church and that's because to many "cooks" in the kitchen will destroy the soup (food & restaurant). God Bless brothers and sisters.

If it’s unreasonable to us (and if you’re honest with yourself and really think about it, it’s completely unreasonable) then it’s unreasonable to God. God is wholly reasonable and purely logical. He wouldn’t expect us to forgive 70x and 7 and then He needs to see His perfect Son murdered in our place. Even though it’s quite obvious by reading the Bible that man killed Jesus, not God. The more I get to know God by including Him in my day to day life the more I know Jesus didn’t die for my sins. Human sacrifice, especially His only Begotten Son, is the complete antithesis of God, our infinitely Loving Father in heaven.
