Is Ishq Ke Haathon Se (Live) Begum Akhtar Sahiba

#Begum_Akhtar presents the second Jigar Moradabadi ghazal “#Is_ishq_ke_hathon_se_hargiz_na_mafar_dekha..” in #raag_Mishra_Tilang set to the Keherwa taal. The tabla accompaniment once again complements the singer’s artistry beautifully, at times enhancing the excitement, at other times creating a sense of anticipation, and even falling silent on occasion when the singer presents the first line only to join in seamlessly with the taal as the second line of the couplet is introduced by the singer. Sounds of the singer’s laughter, the audience’s appreciation and even snatches of conversation, possibly between the singer and members of the audience can be heard, presenting an aural picture of the leisurely, informal and yet intensely charged ambience of the chamber concert or mehfil.

Supeb اس عشق کے ہاتھوں سے ہرگز نہ مفر دیکھا اتنی ہی بڑھی حسرت جتنا ہی ادھر دیکھا تھا کھیل سا پہلے عشق لیکن جو کھلیں آنکھیں ڈوبا ہوا رگ رگ میں وہ تیر نظر دیکھا سب ہو گئی اٹھ اٹھ کر اک باز نثار شمع پروانوں نے کیا جانے کیا وقت سحر دیکھا وہ اشک بھری آنکھیں اور درد بھرے نالے اللہ نہ دکھلائے جو وقت سحر دیکھا قرباں تری آنکھوں کے صدقے تری نظروں کے تھا حاصل صد ناوک جو زخم جگر دیکھا جاتے رہے دم بھر میں سارے ہی گلے شکوے اس جان تغافل نے جب ایک نظر دیکھا عہد غم فرقت میں دل اور جگر کیسے اک زخم ادھر پایا اک داغ ادھر دیکھا تھا باعث رسوائی ہر چند جنوں میرا ان کو بھی نہ چین آیا جب تک نہ ادھر دیکھا اس چشم غزالیں کو مے خانہ دل پایا اس روئے نگاریں کو فردوس نظر دیکھا یوں دل کو تڑپنے کا کچھ تو ہے سبب آخر یا درد نے کروٹ لی یا تم نے ادھر دیکھا کیا جانئے کیا گزری ہنگام جنوں لیکن کچھ ہوش ہو آیا تو اجڑا ہوا گھر دیکھا ماتھے پہ پسینا کیوں آنکھوں میں نمی کیسی کچھ خیر تو ہی تم نے کیا حال جگر دیکھا

Sheer magic, Jadoo in real sense, She was The Treand setter in Ghazal singing , she was the leader and the rest are still following her Gayaki style in ghazal singing, Wallah , plus the lyrics of Jigar Muradabadi SubhanAllah. Beautiful rendition.
