It seems to me by reading the AOC forums and on YT, that this is a rather common problem. Nobody seems to have an answer for curing it. Good videos though, enjoyed the dedication and content. And yes, my 2.0 CDTI has exactly the same knocking, it's a pain in the a$$.

Yes it really was, mine did seem to stop though after I replaced the lower arm.

Hello Jemma, I have a clicking coming from the same area, it almost sounds like a cv starting to go but it’s been there for 3 years now and it only happens when starting to move forward or backwards and not when turning the steering wheel, I have searched high and low but never found it, also my doors lock by themselves so I have pulled the fuse for the automatic door locks, they are the 2 problems I’ve had in 3 years that I can’t resolve,I was wondering if you had any idea what could be clicking in that area?. Great videos btw.

Hey Jemma, thanks for the videos on this. I’m experiencing the same issue on my GTC, but it’s not a VXR. So, did that solve the issue in the end? I thought i heard the knocking again in the result section. Thanks, Dan.

Hi Daniel, It did solve the issue for about a week or so then it has slowly came back. The noise at the end of the clip was me moving my phone (or possibly something moving in the back of the car) It was totally silent after I replaced the part. Keep in mind though the part is a pain to remove so you'd probably be better off replacing the knuckle assembly as it will save you so much time. Thank you for watching the video and hope this helps. Jemma

No, I am still working out what the issue is. Hopefully making a pt4 soon (ish)
