The one issue I see is that traditional lip liner uses wax in the formula to basically fill in the tiny lines around your lips to keep lipstick from bleeding. It’s a physical barrier. Lip stain will not do that. 😊

Hmm you can also apply a standard one after it I guess. But when it'll disappear, you'll still have line on your lips so it will look nice all the time

WARNING: the girl i found this stain from on tiktok used it on her whole lips so i did that too. i guess my inner lips are more sensitive bc when i peeled it off it took skin with it and made my lips bleed. so maybe really only intended to be used as a liner

I think it looks great on Alex. Not sure it would be as easy to apply by those who aren't as skilled at applying lip liner. If applied with a brush it would be hard to clean brush once product dried. Wouldn't chance using a good brush. The jury is out on this product with me. 🤷‍♀️

I bought the 3 pack with all of the colors back in february and this is now an essential in my routine, the colors are pretty and last long, and they don't move around over time. Tips I use: I apply it with a brush because the applicator is too long for me to be precise with it, and I don't leave it on for the full 20 minutes because it gets too saturated in my skin. Also, I don't apply it all over the lips because it hurts when peeling it off, I only do my cupid's bow and the center of my bottom lip.

I love this! It definitely has a learning curve.. I use an angled THIN brush to make the line as thin as possible, and then I feather it into my lip. Definitely kinda tedious and frustrating to do but it works! Also you can make those eventuated lips lines as well

I agree about the applicator but have all three and love them! It took a little tweaking to get it right for me but now it's pretty fool proof. I even layer the colors to get more of a gradient.

I don't know how I feel about it being used to line your lips but I think it would be amazing to use to create a gradient lip look, as those smudge off easily. I love doing that look and this product could be revolutionary for having long lasting ombre lips.

I’ve used it as a lip line and as an all over lip stain. I have to be very careful when I put it all over because as it dries and you apply over, it peels. Also i actually can’t put it all over my lip because it stains the inside of my mouth very easily and it looks like I got punched in the mouth and blood is pooling. I have the color p-inked, the color is lovely (I don’t even consider it pink, it leaves a beautiful plum) and it truly does stay on for a while, so I put up with the flaws.

Any lip stain I've ever tried goes all over the lip, not just as liner, so, like lots of others have commented, perhaps try this as an all-over lip stain? That liner color looked great on you!!

I think you could def get it down to a perfect science with some tweaking. Maybe use a lip liner or eyeliner brush to get the product off the applicator and then get a more even application. The color looks amazing on you!

Maybe try stain a thicker line and then rub the inner part with a paper towel to blend it out a bit like you did after the lip balm… maybe that will give you a feathered effect

Sacheu or Sarah Cheung - developed this because she used to use the Maybelline Brow Tattoo Tint on her lips. I feel like this is more of a niche product tho although the colour looks very good on you edit: I use Romand Lip Tints and they have a great colour selection!

How does your lip liner wear off before your lipstick or gloss? I find the liner is the last thing left and it looks a bit mental like a border. When I eat or drink it’s the part of my lips nearest the food that wears off. Surely that’s normal. Use it all over. Not just as a liner. Wonder blade is a similar product. They do about 6-7 colours. Some sheer. Some bold.

Actually that dark red/black liner lip looked amazing, usually it's a black matte liner and you add the gloss in the whole lip, but only the line veing shiny it's great

I feel like overlining with long lasting matte lipstick is way better than with a pencil because it actually stays put. Yeah it's tricky and you need to do more cleanup but it's totally worth it. Oh, and of course I take the spf and moisturizer off with a tissue where I know the lipstick is gonna be. Very important.

I tend to overline too as my lower lip is so much fuller than my upper. I always fill in with complimentary lipstick as I never got into a noticeable line around my lips. The thing I saw about the applicator is that it's a sponge tip. Great perhaps for making sure there is enough product to make a thick line, but it kind of made it hard for you to get a smooth line. In that case I don't think I would overline because perfecting the line and making it smooth almost went too far over the lip line and it could look like a swollen punched in the mouth look. I would probably just not overline and when smoothing and perfecting the line it would reach the right place instead of potentially going too far over the lip line. Very cool stuff.

I have it and I really did not like it. I felt that the application process was too tedious and long to wait for it to settle - 20 min.. for such a mediocre result. I found it to wear off just as quick as if I were to line my lips with a traditional liner.

Alex, Your eyes look beautiful. What is that color? This video made me want to share - I use and love the pLouise cosmetic paints as long lasting stains or as lip liners that I can easily fade for ombre look, and never fades. I can just add balm or gloss over. So fun and creative. They have lots of colors, though my fave is a dark neutral brown Walk This Way, (they have a softer neutral taupe color as well, but tend to use that on my eye crease) that I can soften out as lip liner with a brush or use as eyeliner. Love the versatility of these products, last forever and never dry out as in a tube. 💗
