As I re-learned recently, it is safer to wear long pants when using a trimmer. Safer from the standpoint of flying objects as well as danger of poison ivy. Thanks for the review.

Very true. Slinging debris and poison ivy onto your shins is no good. Also, long pants keep junk from getting inside your shoes.

The type and density of the area you cleared is similar to my own needs. Glad I found your video. (I HATE English ivy.)

Wow, I’m blown away at how this 18v does the trick. I have a Ryobi 40v that I can’t wait to try. But I’ll be trying it out with the highly reviewed 9” Forester saw chain grass blade.... look into it. It’s pretty awesome. Good video brother. Nice too see 18v line knock does brushes out.

The high-pitched noise in your video seems worse on the Ryobi String Trimmer than on a Black & Decker trimmer I currently use. Is the noise worse with the brush or brushless Ryobi models?

Were you able to replace the nylon nut on the handle with a metal one?

Nice review but can you please review the non expand it version. I'm talking about the 2 in 1 18V HP 26CM Brush Cutter with interchangeable cutting disc or 2.4mm / 0.095" line. Also I'm in the UK and Ryobi only have 36V line up for us aswell as the 18V line up. Is the 36V the same line up as the 40V models?

might be nice with standard handle less change over time too :)

When YOU dont know, read the directions first. PUSH the lock button in when you insert new attachments.

I have the 40v head and have never used a string trimmer again. I do wonder about power difference between 18v and 40v as all my tools in the van are 18v Ryobi.
@engineerable2 жыл бұрын
The 40V will probably be stronger because the motor can draw more power from the 40V batteries. My only experience with the 40v was the first generation trimmer, and I did not like it. If the 18v is this good now, the new 40v must be even better.

I said the same thing I can’t get the other handle to tighten up anymore it just keeps moving and rotating !

For real, handle attachment sucks and needs to be improved.

Does it work on the 18 volt?

It is a 18v….

I wonder if it cuts brush?like 1-2 inch size
@engineerable2 жыл бұрын
It could do it, but slowly and will drain battery rapidly. Corded, larger and higher voltage battery or gas will be better for heavy duty use. Not sure that is the best blade for brush that size either. The saw blade style would be better.

Both 18v and 40v are now part of the expand it series. Make sure you buy the expand it capable power head

@@ss4goku9695We don't have the Expand it series in the UK. Also we only have 18V or 36V ? Do you have the 36V in the US ? And can someone in the US please review the 18V HP 26CM Brush Cutter with bike handlebars style controls ???
