Hi there. We talked about Vernon recently. I lived in Kamloops in the 80s, and it was really undeveloped. Kamloops has become quite populated. I love Kamloops because of its diverse Geology. There is a lot of interesting rocks there. The hiking in Kamloops is most amazing. You can find a lot of really nice remote spots. Kamloops does get inundated with tournaments. You get quite a lot of people come through. One thing I don’t like about Kamloops is their drinking water quality. I don’t know what it’s like in Vernon? When I visit Kamloops I always bring lots of water from North Vancouver! Our water is the best. I usually bring many gallons of water due to all the hiking I do. Kamloops use to be like a turn of the century town, now it’s becoming inundated with a lot of people, like all of B.C. thanks for the video!

Thanks for your comments! I hear Kamloops is the tournament capital of Canada so that all fits. Our water here in Vernon is a bit chlorinated but otherwise good. Nothing like North Vancouver water though, which I hear is excellent.

Another thing to note is that Kamloops is far more spread out than Vernon. Things in Vernon are usually pretty close, but Kamloops you have to commute almost anywhere.

True. Great point! Thanks!

I've lived in both and I say there is no comparison. Kamloops is a real community with heart while Vernon is like a smaller Kelowna but with Kelowna envy and a lot of snobberyfor being in the Okanagan. Asforhospitals,I've been treatedin both and again,I would opt for the larger medical facility in Kelowna.

Interesting! I’ve never noticed Vernon wanting to be Kelowna, in fact I think most are very happy not to be. However I appreciate your opinion.

Thanks for the video. I'm waiting on the side lines to see what these rates do to demand and prices.

Hi Greg - seems like activity is picking up and prices are remaining flat at this time in the Okanagan.

@@Saltfowler but it's safe to say qctivity always picks up at this time of year. I suspect less then last year but still up from winter months.

@@Saltfowler Honestly I moved away a couple of years ago because I lived downtown and the transients were switching from the friendly 'schizo' types you want to give 5 bucks to and listen to a mini rant about how shapeshifting lizardmen are living among us to more dangerous 'opioid addict' types who break into properties and homes and who look like they want to stab you. I have only been back twice so I haven't actually noticed a difference, and anyone reading this should take my opinion as that, my opinion.
