when you think that you have a good idea that seems obvious, yet nobody else is doing it ... maybe there's a good reason why nobody else is doing it ... Nothin' but the good stuff brother! Running water from the ocean would really speed things up on the beach. But that motor would have to be farther up the beach between some of the lay flat hoses. And then there's the traffic problem. Don't like the idea of people driving over it, especially when replacing it might be a problem. But working it as a "bad weather" day, yeah, just do it the way you were. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Watched season 13 last night, fell asleep on 14, so I'll probably watch most of it tonight.

They sell this “easy Unloader” thing at Harbor Freight for like $50. I think you should order and give it a try. It mounts to the tailgate and unrolls a plastic tarp ish material along the bottom of your bed. You then throw all your dirt or materiel on top of it. Once you are ready to dump you roll the tarp back up and it pulls all of the material out of your bed. It is sort of like a little dump truck attachment, we use it for my landscaping company and it’s great.

As in bring the water to the pay. And run 2 box's. The trick is to imitate a commercial operation on a smaller scale with adapting to the clean up process as the same as a large mine would actual pay. As in the Sea made the concentrates and we mine that. The Big problem is we can only be human rock trucks on the beach if we work next to the pay. A constantly running sluice box is the key to success. Recirculating water is the most effective way to mine a beach. Flour gold is a numbers game. Played right it can pay off.

Why not try a floating pontoon attached to a peice of rope with an anchor. Some plastic plumbing with a 90 degree bend for the intake. All you would need are a pair of thigh/waist high waders to stop you getting your feet wet when you wade out to place it and then you could ditch the cumbersome steel pipe. Another method would be a weighted object that you place out in the surf with flexible pipe attached to it with the end of the pipe secured above the sand attached to the weight. It's not rocket science is it and its much more productive than having to fill your pickup with pay dirt then having to offload it at your sleuce location. Cheers for the entertaining videos and i hope Ive given you some ideas.

Deffinatly a good idea in principle, as others have said a stand for the motor and possibly another length of flex hose between the pump and spike? As to you seaweed issues a simple mesh cup over the end of the spike would solve that and wouldn't need be fine mesh either ¼" weldmesh or ⅛" would hold a lot of it out without it clogging too bad. If went down to 20mesh it would constantly clog with suspended sand and seaweed partials
