I had the same about a week ago. Went to 3 known good spots to drift, good echoes on the bottom, but nothing. Tried anchoring for 4 hrs with burley and all we got was a sting ray and a small bronzie lost at the boat. Bad days fishing is better than a good day at work 👍

I often come home fishless, because I'm targeting big fish and not bothering with smaller ones. I actually don't eat a lot of fish, I just enjoy fishing. I would like to perfect my gummy shark techniques though, I love them and my dogs love the leftovers. I could always bag out when I lived on the other side of the country, I struggle to find them in WA waters

"It's called fishing, not catching" . still always good to get out on the water. might want to try chucking out a mullie on the troll too, because when it drops the you stop, you might pick up a fish. or at least that's what ive been told. If you could at some point, try for really inshore sambos and do a vid on it? be interested to see some jigging in shallow water
