As per Sikhi, The whole creation and the Creator is One Divine System with which we all are connected with. Good or bad actions, intent you put in this system are reciprocated in the same manner which is called Karma. It’s the Live System which we all call God. This system has no beginning and has no end. We humans are part of this grand system but we have not realized it yet. We live in the impurity, injustice, ego, greed, desire, hate, because it has a purpose. The purpose is to evolve to the higher state or the purest state or the Divine state or the state of Absolute. This Divine state is the Divine himself. This state could be realized while living not afterlife. No human in the history of 150,000 years has come back to explain afterlife geographical hell or heaven. This Divine state achieved while living is what Sikhs call Heaven (sachkhand). The creation (impure) and the Creator (pure) are 2 faces of the same coin. Only we are separating in the state of realization. You need your ideal self ( ego, greed, hate, desire, anger) to evolve or realize your purest self ( truth, compassion, contentment, love and spiritual knowledge). 2 faces has to go together until you realize that both are the one thing. When you realize that it is the one thing then you merge with the ONE, the Divine. 2 faces are part of this evolution and has the purpose. Person who has seen the light all the time has no meaning of light, until he sees the darkness. The person who has not suffered or has sadness cannot explain the happiness. Person who has not tasted pizza cannot explain the taste of the burger. You cannot distinguish the color white until you have seen the color black. Purity has no meaning if there is no impurity. 2 things have to be there until we realize that all colors belong to One Thing. Sikhi is the path of realization not a belief system like Abrahamic religions. Belief is when you don’t know something but you blindly believe that there is something. Realization is when you know something and achieved it. You have known the Ultimate Truth, here in this world while living.
@ajitsinghsandhu49855 ай бұрын
This is the reason Sikhi don’t bind people in man made laws or sharia laws. Purpose is to find the higher or purest self, to evolve. That is the reason God has given ability to humans to reason and question. Reasoning and questioning bring awareness and awareness brings out the enlightenment, the higher Self. The Sikh purpose as a learner is to elevate ideal self to real self and real self to the Divine self or the Divine system. If you have bad and good thoughts then those are given by the God itself so that you know yourself, evaluate life and evolve. Because God itself is the creator and the driver of all thoughts. Your bad or good thoughts are you. That is real you. Accept your real self. Don’t run away from it. Be truthful to your own self first. You cannot mask and suppress your real self with sharia laws. Suppressing your own emotions are setting barrier to the spiritual growth. It is the obstruction to the natural process which God has created. It is the obstruction of God’s will. It’s like going against the Razzah of Allah. This is the reason, millions Prophets came and went but they could not clean the impurity of mind. No one can because that is required by God itself. It’s the process God created to evolve to higher self of life. Even converting to Islam cannot guarantee that person will become pure. Otherwise all Muslims would be pure, happy and crime free. You have to get away with this mindset that the God is separate. He is the king and you the slave. He is the pure and you are impure. This thought process will create anxiety and fear in the mind for whole life and will always act as a barrier to know your true self. Bring the thought that God is part of you. God is love and you are part of this love. The creation is not separate from the Creator and I will love the creation as I love my Creator. Practice this and your mind and consciousness will be elevated to truth, compassion, contentment, love and spiritual knowledge.
@ajitsinghsandhu49855 ай бұрын
Mann tu jyot saroop hai aapnaa mool pachhaan. O my mind, you are the embodiment of the Divine Light (consciousness) - recognize your own origin. (SGGS, Ang 441) The Lord is the inner consciousness, and the consciousness is the Divine. This is realized through the Guru's Teachings. (SGGS, P. 1153) His consciousness and the Divine consciousness become one. The duality of the inner mind is overcome. (SGGS, P. 661) When you are conscious in your own consciousness, you will be illuminated and enlightened. (SGGS. P 339). Through self-realization, people dwell within the home of their inner being; egotism and desire depart. O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Name of the Creator are immaculate and radiant. (SGGS, P. 57-17) The Divine Light is revealed, and in that Light, Guru willed achieve realization. The self-willed wander in doubt and confusion. O Nanak, when the dawn breaks, their minds are not satisfied; they pass their life-night awake and aware. (SGGS, Page, 1111-3). Man is crazy without self-realization. When he knows himself, the reality of his Being, his true nature, only then he comes to know the ONE (all pervading truth). (SGGS. P855).

Guru Nanak Dev Ji was known as a Divine Guru. In early Punjabi, (as well as Sanskrit), "Guru" means teacher. Moreover Guru Nanak Dev Ji, as well as the other Gurus are considered as prophets in Sikhism. But we refer to them as Gurus because instead of spreading the message of God by encouraging others to follow him, Guru Nanak Dev Ji would teach them certain things in order to live as a true human. He would teach people to do things the right away and God would grant them a gift. He never told people to "only believe in God all the time", he was providing life lessons because in Sikhism, God choose Guru Nanak Dev Ji to be a Guru and convey the message through word but not forcefully, he would basically teach them to do great things, that way they would eventually get closer to God. He would even help them. Then at some point, they will realize what he is trying to say when you read all of his teachings then you will understand properly.

I’ve read into religions, ideologies and cults - I see only Islam as the one true way of life. So many things don’t make sense in Sikhism but I’ll stick to the basic flaws first. Other than major issues with contradictions and ideology, there are the BASIC flaws I see in Sikhism: The first big flaw is that the concept of five Ks ( Kacchha, Kirpaan, kanga, kesh, karaa) is exact opposite of teachings of first Guru - Guru Naanak. He was against all such shallow rituals which don’t really aid on the journey towards God. In his 4 great journeys (Udaasiayaan), he criticized such ritualism and practicies. And yet, the 10th Guru introduced such a practice - which is prevalent and propagating. This is a huge antithesis or paradox within Sikhism. # Another flaw is no clear stance on Hindu idols. At one side, idol worship is prohibhited in sikhism. On the other side, entire gurbaani is replete with the mentionings of Hindu idols - Raam, Krishn, Hari… etc. If they wanted to renounce the practice of idol worship, they shouldn’t have included the hindu idols in the Gurubaani… that too so many times… so repeated! Sikhs argue that though gurus mentioned these idols repeatedly but they don’t consider them God… they just want to praise the ultimate formless God who was working through these idols. But God is working through everything. Why mention these idols again and again, and at the same time expect the people to get oriented to formless God! Why create such a confusion!? There are millions of things available in the universe to illucidate the magnificence and glory of God. All the rituals about Guru Granth Sahib are no short of idol worship. It is shifted to a bed at night as if it needs to sleep. Continuous manual fanning is done over the holy book during day time. Such rituralisitc practices are against the central spirit of Guru Naanak's teachings. #2 This flaw, which in my opinion is the most serious one, is exclusion of Yogic approach and details. Here too, there is no clear stance, as usual. The Baani repeatedly uses this word Yog, Yogi… but nowhere gives a clear option of practicing the structured Yog. There are certain verses which seem to be shunning the yogic practice. The roots of this issue lie in an event - Sidh Goshti - a debate between Guru Naanak and certain yogis he met. From the documented conversation it is very clear that whosoever he had this debate with, that Yogi(s) had no cenrtal understanding of Yogic approach and details. It seems that some of the ten Gurus witnessed, in their times, yog being practiced in wrong manner with wrong objectives; and formed their opinion on yog from that. But then, if so, they should have abstained from the using the world yog, yogi…etc in positive sense in their baani. Both Sikhism and sikh people seem to be in notion that yog (yoga) is a merely a practice of forming physical postures with the objective of attaining God. Even many Hindus carry this wrong notion. Bu actually, the core objective and skill of yogic practices is controlling attention and awareness. Once control or command over attention & awareness is attained, one can focus it towards ‘Naam’… god.. or anything for that matter. #3 This is in continuation from the previous point. There is no clear method & detail for doing mediation in Sikhism. There is no elaborate technical detail on this matter; unlike 3rd chapter of Patanjali Yog Sootrr or Bhaairav Vigyaan. Meditaion or focussing is one of the key things in Sikhism. Dhyaan karna… naam japna… is essentially an act of focussing and meditation. But the aspects of developing the skills about dhyaan (attention & consciousness) are not covered. #4 None of the 10 Gurus ever used the term ‘Waheguru’ in their baani for refering to God. It occurs only 13 times in entire baani. This term is actually a term for praising the Gurus. Yet in Sikhism ‘Waheguru’ has become the word for God. This again is directly antithetical to the teachings and spirit of the Gurus. Using ‘Waheguru’ - which is actually a derivative of ‘Wah Guru’ - for refering to God is actually a hidden act of calling the Gurus as God. The gurus specifically shunned it. They specifically told that they should never be considered as God. Besides this main arguement here, there is another issue. Why should a word which was never used by the Gurus gain so much prevalence and centrality? Where are those words for the God which gurus used? Why are those words not in practice in Sikhism? #5 Every core concept used in Sikhism had existed in India much much before the advent of even Guru Naanak. Unkaar (Om), 84 Lakkh joon (yonia), reincarnation, akaal (timeless), niraakaar (formless), nirgun (trait less), divine will (Hukum), picking up weapons for justice…. all was already known. Nothing was really a first time discovery or invention. And yet, there is continuous restless claim from sikhs that theirs is an entirely new and unique religion; different from Islam, and definitely different from Hindusim!! I don’t know where this baseless drive stems from. Largely, these are the points in my perspective. There are one or two other issues; but discussiong those fall out from the scope allowed by the context and space here.

You don't know the value and reason for 5Ks yet you criticize them as rituals. Ram, Krishan and Hari these names just mean god ,not referring to the Hindu gods who are avatars of Waheguru, which means "Wonderful Lord/Guru", there are millions of names for god so what is wrong with calling god with one of his names? . Our 10th guru announced Guru Granth Sahib Ji as our eternal Guru and we respect our guru as such, how is any of that against Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teaching when it is the word of god compiled with the teachings of all our Gurus including guru Nanak's? You say our gurus are not Waheguru with what exactly? In gurbani it says "guru parmashwar eko Jan" gurus and god are one. And your argument that Guru Gobind Singh Ji said that whoever calls him as god will go to narak/hell was a test to see who is afraid of narak and to teach someone how to be humble you have to be humble yourself. It wasn't Unkaar it was Ek Onkar meaning one god, hindu om refers to the 3 avatars. All of it was already known yet their meaning was not correct as akal, nirankar and hukam didn't refer to waheguru. Every religion contains part of the truth but Sikhi contains the entire truth even our 5th Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji has said ਨਾ ਹਮ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਨ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ॥ Nor are we Hindus nor muslims.
@ajitsinghsandhu49855 ай бұрын
Brother. First, you have to understand that the Guru is not redefining the Truth. We all know that we came from the single Source. That doesn’t need to be redefined. Guru is addressing followers or 2 different faiths, Hinduism and Islam. He is removing delusion from them by using the analogies and example from their religious background, language and social structure. This is the reason hell, heaven, afterlife is used to make them understand the sikhi concept of God, heaven and hell. The word Allah, Rabb, Hari, Ram, Krishna has been used many times. To convey the message that the God is not limited to one word. It’s the emotion of the human which connects him or her with the Divine. And he or she can call the God with any name. By taking amrit and having 5 K’s do not make the person enlightened automatically. One has to find the amrit inside. The internal transformation will reflect on the external human behavior. That’s being said, to start with, one needs a discipline. Otherwise there will never be any beginning. It needs an initiation and that initiation comes with amrit sanchar. Sikhi do not condemn person to hell if 5 Ks are not observed. Many saints have achieved enlightenment without observing 5 Ks.
@ajitsinghsandhu49855 ай бұрын
The God in sikhi concept is omnipresent, all pervading, all permeating Divine Reality which can be realized while living thru Self Realization NOT afterlife. Right here in the present life. Sikhi is not a belief system but a path of self realization. The purpose of the Sikh is to realize God and progress the ideal self to the real self, from real self to the Divine attributes. Elevation of the spiritual consciousness to the Purest state where you finally merge with the Divine while living NOT afterlife. The idol worship is not the point of focus for the Sikh. A Sikh focus on the self realization (atam bodh), to find his or her true nature. Being true to himself first. To know the real Self. For example- the Muslims stone the building thinking that building is the Shaitan, but that is not Muslims primary focus.

@@Bskshebxksiebc-e8jk What can go wrong if woman is also allowed to marry 4 times in Islam?

@@RajivKumar-gb9is you talk about your sister, leave muslim women alone, and yess your sister can marry to 4 husbands but in islam it is not allowed, it is a rule, just like u can’t ask why in cricket there’s 6 balls in an over and not 5 or 10👍, in islam we have different rules for men and women, we don’t believe in equality but in equity bcoz men and women are built differently.

@@Bskshebxksiebc-e8jk What a stupid reply :) Well, it was expected from a brainwashed muslim anyways. And ofcourse you are following your prophet Muhammad's footprints. You are doing what he did in his past and made all this stupid nonsense rules in the name of Allah.
