Is it PERSONS or PEOPLE? (Learn the differences!)

What's the difference between PERSONS and PEOPLE? And when do we use the word PEOPLES? Learn the differences between PERSON, PEOPLE, PERSONS, and PEOPLES in this short and easy-to-understand video for English learners.

I made a mistake at 3.00. I meant to say that "persons" Is the plural form of "person", but I accidentally said that it is the plural form of "people".😅 Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.

The plural of person is people. Persons is most used in legal writing. Peoples is only necessary when you refers to distinct ethnic groups. (Within the same region) Primitive peoples worshipped the sun. Thanks a lot, Mike. I didn't know how to use "Peoples". Once, someone told me that peoples was the plural of people.🤣

It's very interesting video and many new precious and valuable information. Your explanations words " a person, persons, a people, peoples" and differences in using them, are really clear and understandable. Some of them I see for the first time; I have never met " peoples", for instance. Although these new for me words, like peoples are very rarely used, it is good to know, when we may meet them and to use in the future. An informal and friendly alternative to people is "folks." it is often used in casual conversations or when addressing a group of people in a more personal or approachable manner. Example: "Hey folks! How's everyone doing today?"🙂
