Tears For Fears have always been a duo, they are Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. For their first two albums they enlisted the help of Ian Stanley on Keyboards and Manny Elias on Drums. Roland is singing lead on this song, but Curt has sung lead on some of their most famous songs like Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Mad World, Pale Shelter, and Change. If Head Over Heels is the only song you've heard from these two, then you are in for a treat. You should listen to Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Shout, Woman In Chains, Sowing The Seeds Of Love, Advice For The Young At Heart, and Mad World, or you could check out their new single, The Girl That I Call Home, which was released less than a week ago.

Their "signature" song is "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," which you most definitely should check out, but they had great tracks both before and after: "Change," "Mad World," "Sowing the Seeds of Love," "Woman in Chains," "Break It Down Again"

This was one of a handful of songs which defined the mid-80s sound, regardless of the many popular kinds of music at the time (pop, R&B, country, heavy metal, rock, new wave, and "old skool" rap). This and the song "Don't You (Forget About Me)", by Simple Minds, which was on the closing of the movie "The Breakfast Club" (which showed most of the teenaged social archetypes of the time period...I know, that's when I was in high school! Definitely great movie by the way! And I'm glad you both saw it!)

Some other songs by Tears For Fears are: 1. Advice for the Young at Heart. 2. Everybody Wants to Rule the World. 3. Sowing the Seeds of Love. There are many other songs that I am sure your subscribers will recommend. Enjoy.

For many, Tears for Fears is 'the sound of the 80s.' Their music practically redefined nostalgia from the mid-80s onward haha. This song will forever be associated with the movie 'Donnie Darko' for me haha.

Love this band. SONGS FROM THE BIG CHAIR is an excellent album from start to finish. I had this tape in my walkman all of the time in high school. Songs like - "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", "Shout", "Mother's Talk" and this one. Roland Orzabal & Curt Smith make up the primary band Tears for Fears. Ian Stanley is the keyboardist who was with the band during the 80's and left the band in the late 80's. Other band members have come and gone. Curt Smith left the band in 1991 due to internal differences b/w him and Roland. Roland went on with Tears for Fears making some excellent music - "Elemental", "Break it Down Again" and Raoul & The Kings of Spain". Curt returned to the group 2000. All has been right in the world since...lol

Roland Orzabal singing and Curt Smith on keyboards. Yes, he's in the band. No, he's not an actor. Good guess on The Breakfast Club. They both came out around the same time. Also, if you avoid TFF's radio hits, you'll get some truly remarkable stuff. Anything off the "Elemental" album is more grown-up than this, love it tho I do.
