I don't really call this challenge legit because Mario Party 2 is the only game of the series that has a virtual console release and thus the only MP game that can be used with restore points.

This was quite impressive. It was fun to watch but I can only imagine it must have been a chore to do this. Thank goodness for those Save States on the Wii U download. I forgot that this game was available on the eShop for the Wii U. I enjoyed playing Mario Party 2 as a rental back in 1999 but never finished the game. Fortunately Mario Party 3 which I liked a lot more I was able to play through all the way when I rented it from Hollywood Video in 2000.

Considering the challenge being to prove if it is possible, using restore points was a wise choice. As for proceeding to doing this challenge... Definitely not worth the time or the bragging rights, but it is proven to be possible.

You know, having the Bonus Stars turned on could have been beneficial. With you being able to rig roles and battle minigames in your favor, you could theoretically have done that to get some freebies from Hidden Blocks, but Hidden Blocks are disabled with Bonus Stars turned off.

Mario party 9 by doing nothing is possible... But there is a problem on one board magma mines the 5th board in the game, magma mines starts of great until you reach the first left/right sign which forces you and your party to vote on which way to go by PRESSING the left button or the right button but the other 6 boards are indeed possible but magma mines is impossible.

If you keep doing these challenges ( which I LOVE) I tried Mario party 8 and I know a few boards are not possible course when you need to choose a direction you have to aim to go the way you have to also is the same for the stars but Bowser's board might be possible also mp9 I know is impossible cause of magma mines no matter what you are forced to press the left or right button cause of the sign that makes your party vote on which way to go but all of the others are possible I didn't do it but I did research and tested the odds and yep the other 6 boards in mp9 are possible but not magma mines.

If the entire point is to determine whether or not Mario Party can be beaten without a strategy you might want to consider making random decisions on the board instead. This would allow for complete access to the boards while also not having a strategy.

The quick answer is yes, all you do is choose a map and choose your 4 carachters and load into the world and put the carachter you choose to CPU and you'll have 4 CPUs and do whatever you want and come back soon when its finished. BOOM you beat the game like that without truly touching the control.

I'm not going to say the restore points invalidates the run or anything, like you said in the video, it is just manipulating RNG on a smaller scale than restarting the board. But it does make it a little too easy since going turn by turn you basically get to decide everythig that happens. You would have beaten 3 hard AI with th same level of difficulty.

I love to see this Mario Party "challenge" again. I hope we can get more in the future. But to be honest I liked the turn discriptions in the Super Mario Party video. Maybe it was unrealistic to discribe MP2 in this detailed fashion because MP2 has more boards or because the boards are bigger. Just some feedback. Maybe you find it helpful/ insideful.
