@DIO Yes, you are exactly right. There should really be no problem in simply saying the word Corona, especially in contexts that existed well before 2019 (whether it be Super Mario Sunshine's Corona Mountain, Katamari Damacy's crown-collecting stage, the Mexican beer, the gaseous region around the sun and other stars, one of the characters in the Spider Riders anime, or anything else that's not virus related).

You can get that Pianna Park shine an easier way. Instead of the waterfall at the back, just go up to that platform where you got the red coin shine, and jump over to the Electrokoopa.

This challenge is way easier if you play the game like a speedrunner. The any% route has all kinds of tricks that make it easier to avoid yellow coins.

If I remember correctly, the “toxic” bubbles the eel spits out during Noki Bay 4 (around 14:30-ish) aren’t actually toxic. They’re just bubbles, they won’t hurt you. Hell from what I remember playing this game a long time ago you don’t even need to spray them to get air, just go into them. But that’s just what I remember from a long time ago.

Nico! Spoiler Alert for the viewers: Even if the Red Coins give coins, you are supposed to beat the 7TH episode of each level. Not the first 7. There are some levels that lets you beat episode 8 in a previous one, making all episodes unlocked. So once you do that, play and beat 7 to complete a world, meaning no sand bird, as well.

When I see this I was like: This is probably going to be the easiest Mario game to do that, because its in 3D and you have a jetpack. Be thankful you only had to do episodes 1-7 of each world. Going for all 120 would be impossible because of the eight 100 coin Shines and the return to Airship Shine that costs 10 coins to access. Others I imagine to be painful include episode 8 of Bianco Village and Noki Bay, the Shine in the tower of Delfino Plaza that you're expected to pay a chuckster a single coin to access (though there are ways around it), and a few of the blue coins that are surrounded by coins (particularly the ones in the sewers of Delfino Plaza). Honestly, it kind of sounds like an interesting challenge to try to find the limit of how many shines you can collect; at least 9 of them are absolutely impossible, meaning a theoretical maximum of 111, but can that number be kept above 100? Can we actually reach 111?

Cool video dude. That sand bird level would have been difficult regardless tbh. I remember having trouble with it when I played it as a child and or teenager back in the day. 🎮
