The are bottom predator / scavengers so yes. They will take boilies especially fishy smelling ones. There are probably better baits though.. Like small Fish and Spam.

Whole corn works like a charm on carp and catfish - my buddies and I used to use this long ago and would catch tons of fish with this technique. Only thing is that your throw the corn out at near sunset and come back at the next sunrise and start reeling them in using a single piece of corn on the bottom on a number 6 or 8 hook - I liked the number 8 hook the best - yeah! really does work well

Yes you can catch them with boilies! Just use liver and fish like mackerel and sardien in your boiliemix and you will get more catfish then carp!

Best boilie for cats by far is a 5-6" roach 😂 leave boilies for the carp anglers who want to spend £30 on bait every time they touch the bank 🤣🤣

A kilo of boilies is 15€. I tend to use up to five boilies every day of fishing. For fedding you use cheaper pellets, corn, hemp. I never saw a point in killing a fish just to catch one to then let it go.

I live in the US, and use UK Style gear, tactics and bait to catch carp. I’ve actually caught several catfish (while fishing for carp) using boilies and pop-ups. In fact I believe I’ve caught more cats than carp with these hook baits 🙄😂

Oh yes it will catch cats. It's actually a ongoing joke in the carp fishing community in the US. Catfish are a very common sidecatch. I call them the bream/ tench of US carping

My friend Chris Thornhill, UK Carp Angler from Screaming Delkims in Sweden came to the USA back in the 90's and caught a shitload of catfish on some kind of fish-or-liver based boilie. He actually ended up having to change over to "Weedy Greedy" boilies because he was catching too many catfish when he wanted to catch carp.

I've had at least one bite using corn. Of course, it just ripped through that line like it was nothing. .36 diameter line and a nr 8 hook isn't at all strong for a cat. Catties are srong and cute!
