Thanks for watching! Be warmly invited to let me know about cool electronic music you know in odd time signatures 💚 Also: if you like videos about making odd meter beats, let me know as well and I might make some more of these 👀

Man, when the woodblock sound gets added, this really starts to pop. I've wanted to hear something like this for some time, interesting work!

Thank you for a clear deconstruction. Subject is more than of mere interest. It's a kind of rabbit hole, but also the direction to the authentic music. Could you please explain how this particular pattern in 7/8 can be interpreted in 7/8? is it possible? Or some percussion hits will be moved for this purpose? 🥸

Hey, thank you- really glad you liked it :) But I don't really understand your question. Interpreting 7/8 in 7/8?

I see 7/4 in the heading. When I choose 7/4 signature in Ableton the count-in sounds different from 7/8, which is 2 times faster. For me it is a bit confusing. So let me ask differently - are 7/8 and 7/4 same signatures? And if not, will changing the signature to 7/8 in your particular track here bring any changes? Or opportunities to make the beat more detailed or so?

Just fun to try? There is so much music out there in 4/4, so I feel excited to experiment with other time signatures sometimes.
