@@caterpillarplanet Simple. you get double jump with a shade skip, beat dung defender and then go to isma's grove. and now you're maybe thinking, "but it's impossible to reach isma's grove without crystal heart." well yes but actually no. if you go into the broken elevator shaft with dashmaster equipped, you can dash into the spike corridor leading to isma, do a pogo halfway through and then do a frame-perfect dash to make it over the spikes. it's really difficult, but possible. oh, and you need the monarch wings to get past the section that requires crystal dashing.

You actually can get mew though. Look up “nugget bridge glitch”. It works. You basically beat the nugget bridge then make your way left, as soon as the trainer sees you, open you menu and teleport. If you did it right as soon as you move you’ll get a random battle with mew.

I saw her near the start of the game and came back about 10 times and by my 6th time back she started acting strange and near the 9th time she was fully infected but I didn’t kill her till my 10th time there . That was sad but kind of had to because I felt to guilty letting her be infected and this is only a game that made me sad . Only 3 other games made me this sad and that is undertale’s ending , the near ending of the walking dead season 4 (the game) and minecraft after my pet wolf passed all I could say was ahh man in a sad tone

You can beat the game without picking up the chrystal heart and the desolate dive, meaning she doesnt get infected. You can just get Isma´s tear and monarch wings by doing a shade skip in basin to get to the Broken Vessel and you can use the Dashmaster charm to dash-pogo-dash through the spike tunnel in the elevator shaft to acces tear. Those skips are actually quite difficult to pull of, but playing the game that way causes her to stay completely unharmed.

Guys it’s all an allegory for the Knight. The Knight is a parallel to the Hollow Knight. It’s metaphorical shattered nail released the Radiance. The Lady is the White Lady who shunned her kingdom and ran into isolation. The Priest is the Pale King who left his kingdom and children to die, and forsook his duties. The Knight is the beggar with the crown. It bears Hallownest’s weight on its head like a crown.

Once I went in crystal peak and saw the infected bugs I was proud to say that my ‘friend’ (actually and genuinely considered this npc as my friend) would never become like them and that she’s too nice. I decided to come back to her place to visit her again and once I entered I felt this eerie despair in my guts even though I literally went inside. I was like ‘hey why isn’t she singing?’ AND WHEN I TELL YOU MY HEART SHATTERED WHEN I SAW HER INFECTED. I took a break from playing hollow knight for a few days because of that 😭

Poor Myla. I think she's really just in the game to show how the infection affects the bugs in Hollownest. I don't know how Myla managed to stay sane when all of the other miners are fully infected and crazy. Maybe she's not actually one of the Hallownest miners and is an adventurer who came looking for treasure after the city fell. She spent so much time in the mines close to the infection that it finally got to her. I think if the Knight doesn't find Sly and Bretta that technically the same thing happens to them. We just don't see that in the game. After all they are in the trancelike state mumbling nonsense when the Knight first finds them. That's about the same state Myla is in the last time you see her before she starts attacking you.

Out of all the people I’ve spoken to, I seem to be the only person that’s seen her in all of her stages first hand. I’m not sure why but when I was playing through it she intrigued me, as well as the crystals before I had desolate dive so I kept going back as I progressed and saw her in all stages. These are all the stages I saw myself: 1.Happy, singing, mining, original dialogue. 2. Happy, singing, mining, second dialogue. 3. Sad, tired, not mining, dark lyrics in singing, small amount of orange in her eyes. 4. Fully transformed husk which attacks you, but when killed, myla lets out a scream that echoes. Not sure if these are all the stages, but from the people I’ve spoken to, nobody else seems to have seen them?

I don't know what happened to your save, but Myla really has a semi-infected stage once you get the desolate dive, in this stage she stops mining and just stare at the crystals with her orange eyes, but still doesn't attack you. The dialogues also change

I kept checking in on her every time I could, even between getting Desolate Dive and Crystal Heart, and somehow I didn't get that phase. I feel kind of cheated. 🤨 I wonder if it makes a difference that I'm playing the Voidheart Edition on XBox One?

No one will see this but, there is technically a room behind it. Go up the elevator there and dive through the floor in the other room you kept walking through, that could be what she was talking about

I just got desolate dive and then Crystal heart 2 days in a row and in between them I visited her and there was a phase that you missed where she stops mining and humming, I don't remember the exact dialogue but it was something about the darkness closing in in all caps "dangerous!!" And then seeing the light, it was so sad watching her struggle... I've not visited since I got Crystal heart but I don't think I will, I don't want to see her like that..

there is a stage for her between humming & mining and not humming & still mining, she will not hum or mine and orange gas will come out of her eyes (kind of like how you first find Sly and Bretta)

Even after all this time people are still mourning her death. I remember when she was fully infected I saw her still mining so I went up to her and she attacked me. I killed get and heard her scream out and that was the end of that. :(

I didn’t even know she turned bad. I did what she liked and came back occasionally. But then one time she suddenly start attacking and that threw me off so hard. I didn’t kill. Just left her there. Idk if i should let her rest, or let her live like that eternally.

Myla still has a chance! her dialogue changes after you defeat the soul master, usually this is the same as getting desolate dive but you got dd without defeating soul master so it didn't work.

What if, you avoid killing Myla when she's infected, and then get either the Dream No More or Embrace the Void endings, which kills the infection, right? So you could save Myla that way!

So I saw Myla early in game, and didn't find her again until after she was infected. Unfortunately I had just been wandering around and didn't realize where I was. All I saw was another miner attacking me, so I defended myself, and didn't know it was her until it was too late. I was so upset that I repeatedly ran into the crystal spikes to repent.

That's not a secret room. It's on the map, and you get to it by taking the little elevator up and going to the right. When you get Desolate Dive, you can break through the floor in that room, and have it function as an alternate path to get into Crystal Peaks.

To save Myla you just have to defeat The Radiance, well, if there is no infection, Myla can't be infected, right?

Yeah, the fact the game ends and you cant walk on the kingdom anymore make the people think thats a loop, and thats isnt, when you beat radiance the infection go out, and myla (also all the other bugs) comes free from the infection. The final scene of this game is just a cliffhanger i guess. Maybe silksong can explain thoe things alot.

I've never killed her....I just can't do it. She was my first npc I found and really was the character that really started drawing me into the game. That's my girl right there.
