She tried to kill her son. If you put it like she’s doing him a favor by ending his suffering you should be fired. & not be allowed to work in a medical facility

Caynewwilliamson HOW CAN YOU BE THAT INSENSITIVE , SELFISH AND IGNORANT. THIS CHILD WAS SUFFERING. DEATH is NOT the worst thing to happen. HOLDING ON FOR YOUR OWN SELFISH DESIRE TO HAVE A LOVED ONE ALIVE NO MATTER WHAT THEIR CONDITION IS. You Couldn't BE more cruel if you tried. The patient Suffers, the Family Suffers, the Hospital bills after continue the suffering for the family.

She's insane. The family killed him. She's just trying to justify her own self-righteousness. Because if the family was in the wrong, it means she supported his murder.

Buddy your account is names after supernatural if you're really that disgusting by this kind of thing you wouldn't watch that show. Get off your high horse. People with terminal inoperable medical conditions might not want to suffer, and that's thier right, it's insane to me that you think you know better. Especially sense youre not a doctor, you're not even a dentist

Dementia has no cure. There isn't likely to be a cure in the next 5 years or so. If it was up to me, I would have spared my Gran the slow decline, the loss of dignity, the few instances of horror and fear when she *realized* she was losing her mind- her greatest treasure and the trait she once prided herself in. She was once the Matriarch of the family and the loss of being able to make her own decisions was a horrible experience for her, but she couldn't be trusted with them and even through the disease she was still too sharp for the normal white lies to work on her (how you are supposed to treat a dementia patient is to cater to their delusions because they canNOT comprehend logic). But it wasn't up to me and I can comprehend waiting through at least the first few years/stages. But my Gran was terminal - what they call 'terminal agitation' and the stage beyond that even - and I listened to her death rattle for DAYS. Nearly a full week. She couldn't move - it was like rigor mortis had already set in - nor could she eat or drink or take the pain killers she needed for her nerve pain. She just laid there, the sound of imminent death rattling in her chest, slowing and quickening in turns, for a day short of a full WEEK. The experience was both painful and distressing to HER, let alone those of us who had to watch. You could tell by her expressions, even as her lips and mouth lost definition and started to slack and she still KEPT BREATHING. We were not allowed to give her a peaceful way out. We were not allowed to ease her suffering and shorten her lingering on the threshold. We were not allowed to hasten the inevitable, or to ease her distress with the only way left to her. Gran's case was rather clear-cut. But sometimes the humane thing to do is to not be selfish and LET. GO. Sometimes the fight is just too long, too painful, and what's left afterward just isn't worth it. The living cling, and life is painful. But death? Death is Peace. And sometimes, Peace is the greatest gift you can give someone

Sometimes you just have to let nature take its course, why all the medical intervention when the person is not living any quality of life

Haven't you heard? It's called "the pro-life movement" and its aim is to interfere in the deepest recesses of other people's private lives.

For ANYONE who feels this man is right has NEVER GONE THRU THE PAIN OF WATCHING A LOVED ONE WITHER AWAY TO NON EXISTENCE IF that patient said something to That Dr. He should've said something to the family. The PAIN can Not be Explained when in this situation. The Bills the hospital Harass/Badger you for Even AFTER they know you took EVERYTHING YOU HAD to Keep the patient Alive as long as you could. The Selfishness involved in HANGING ON TO WHAT. We worship God and say we go to heaven to go to God. So WHY !!! WHAT !!!!! ARE YOU HANGING ONTO.

You’re talking about euthanasia. In a country where there are laws based on morals-we either let nature take its course, or we try to intervene to save a person. We DO NOT KILL people simply because they are suffering. That is murder-regardless of how much you want it to be an act of kindness.

@@averagecat5968 nobody wants to let someone they love dearly go but if there is no stopping it and they are suffering how can I continue to watch it let alone have them have hope that they will make it through when reality says otherwise. Believe me pal I feel you. It is rare for a miracle to happen. Trying to hold out for a miracle in a situation where there is no avoiding the inevitability would only be selfish, cruel, and cowardly. But your right nobody has the right to choose whether a person dies or lives.
