A 225 hp turbo 2 cylinder is not the same as a 225 hp NA 4 cylinder.

I have the 2019 Turbo S 4. It has done everything I need it to and beyond. Seats are a little small - getting PRPs this winter, at least for the front. The power is good enough, but.. I will soon be getting the Trinity exhaust system (stage 5) for some more power. I'd sure like to have the new Turbo R but just can't justify getting one now. I like the redesigned and relocated CVT system.. I will be paying close attention to how well it does or does not fare. I look forward to more vids and blogs as we go along in 2022. Who knows what 2023 may bring.. 🤔

You are full of it. Pro R has larger shocks, better Dynamix system, improved clutch, and new front locker. It has long travel with way more travel than your XP Pro does. . Just to name a few things that are better.... Sounds like you are jealous and can't afford a Turbo or Pro R so keep on whining....
@dirtdogmartin18652 жыл бұрын
Plus all new one piece stronger frame, stronger cage, extra strong front and rear suspension components and hardware, hub/bearings,ect plus dual valve 3" fox shocks with dynamix. 225 naturally aspired horse power stock..... with a tune and exhaust 300-400hp...?

The pro xp is a good car but not even close to the same category as a new r. Sorry bud. Completely new car from the ground up. Only thing it shares are the plastics and interior.

Yes you’re right the new machine is beautiful and plenty different as well. Just can’t use it in the trails I ride. But the new ones look fantastic I’m sure I’ll be getting one in a few years!
@dirtdogmartin18652 жыл бұрын
@@polarisondemand Why would you get one if you can't use it in the trails that you ride? Especially after building a $80,000 XP. Don't get me wrong, you have a sweet XP! They are two different machines, and yours is great for your riding style and riding areas. Enjoy it and be safe!

Let me know how that r is when the engine craters, same engine as slingshot Pos

I have the XP pro and really like the idea of more displacement. I do love my 64" width for where I ride though. My machine is bone stock and I have never run out of horse power on the trails. We'll see what happens when I finally take it to the dunes.
@polarisondemand2 жыл бұрын
I’m sure it’ll run fine in the dunes. Everybody just has horsepower madness. That’s a great machine you have

Hahahahaha I have a pro do that’s tuned and it does not do the same thing. 29 inches of travel is huge and isn’t even close. If you ride smooth groomed stuff ya ok but when it gets rough the R will rain supreme

I’m going to do a part 2 to that video in a week or so and I’ll mention what parts are used to up the horsepower and more 👍🏻

Your comment about needing to be a professional driver or your dead. Seems a bit harsh. I believe that no matter what vehicle you’re getting in you need to take time to know the limits first. Everybody should start slow and work their way up fast.

Yes it’s easy to spend that kind of money in extras. But I was just saying how you can get the horsepower up for cheap that was my point. Have a good day thanks for the message

If you put a turbo on that new pro R ....its going to have an easy 250+ hp...I believe this is why they have over built the pro r.
@milosusa2 жыл бұрын
Would be not so easy to put turbo on engine with 13:1 compression ratio. Sure you can build that engine for turbo, but prepare to spend lot of money to do it. IMO

There is a reason the company hasnt done it
@DannyO09172 жыл бұрын
My guess is the turbo models are faster due to the lighter weight. That said, I ordered the Pro R due to the vastly superior chassis, suspension, cage, etc. This argument about saving money is like saying buy a Honda civic and turbo it and do everything you can to make it keep up with a true sports car (corvette for example). Sure you can make a civic faster than a corvette but you will lose reliability and it will never handle as well as something built from the factory. I'm over modding stuff. I want the best out of the box.

Wow cant believe how many people seem to think the pro R is so much better.... i will smash any pro r driver in my regular pro in the tight wooded trails of northern mn. I dont care if they got some more inches of travel lol.
@polarisondemand2 жыл бұрын
Yes I drive in the same kind of terrain. The R is a little wide for my area as well. I hear you 👍
@dirtdogmartin18652 жыл бұрын
Not trying to say it's better for everyone, just saying that they are two different machines and really not that comparable. For dunes , track, and wide open riding the Pro R is my choice. For your tight trails the XP is great! I'm sure in the next year or two they will be putting out a new 64" XP with some maybe all the great upgrades that they have come up with in the Pro R. I'm sure in the trails you would appreciate a true locking front differential, and with the new upgrades in strength bearings,axles,brakes, driveline, clutching they are able to cycle 35" tires with no issues. Not saying bigger is always better, but it's nice to have the option. Have fun,ride safe and stay cool! 👍
