I don't know anything about the Samsung, but the HP is a great monitor for my needs. The Samsung appears to be a slightly better monitor. Though I'm not sure how much the average person would notice the difference. Many times people insist the monitor they bought is better for reasons x, y, and z. But much of that time, it just helps them justify their choice and isn't necessarily a difference that's actually noticable without specialized equipment. I'd suggest you get the one on sale.

The higher the resolution, the smaller your icons will be because the higher resolution of the QHD allows you to fit more on your screen vs. something like a FHD monitor. Just bought one of these for the excellent price of $200 at Best Buy.

@@myquietreviews The monitors are 60Hz. I've been using them for quite awhile now and they're great for music and video production as well as everyday normal use. I don't know anything about gaming, so I can't speak to how they work for that.

They're still $199 at Best Buy as of late October, 2022. I expect they will be $149/ $159 in about four weeks time.

It looks like they're back on sale. They went back up a day or two after I posted this review. So, they probably fluctuate between the normal price and the $199 sale price often. I'm waiting for the 27" FHD to go back on sale to buy another one for my work computer to have a matching set.
