Roscoe reminds me of this old IW I was partnered with about 15 yrs ago. We were at a shut down in a paper mill and had to do some welding outside... we were standing underneath a grated catwalk. Right as we are about to start a laborer came out an started hosing down the grating without bothering to check what was under it... got the metal we were working on soaked. So I told the old guy we'd have to wait for shıt to dry out because the water wass dripping down on the area pretty heavily. Old guy says "Fųçķ that..Im gonna hold up this plate and your gonna stitch it as fast as you can." I said, "Dude... thats gonna shock the shıt outta you..." He said, " Shút up and do it. " Ok. 🤷♀️ He held it up and I stitched as fast as I could... and I could tell he was gettin zapped HARD but he wouldn't take his hands down. We finished up and he shook it off like a champ and we went for a coffee break 😂

Needless to say, it wasn't very long before I was the one that caved & requested a transfer. Not to a diff crew, oh no... To a whole new jobsite!!! 😂when superintd asked me why I wanted transfer that he figured me being little sister, I'd want to stay where big bro was, i just looked him dead in the eye & said, "He was 15. I was 13. He literally tried to run me over with a riding mower, blades engaged because I told him our mother sent me to finish the yard that everyone had to do equal share of work. He refused which ticked me off knowing I was about to get stuck with a crappier chore and I told him okay. That's fine. At least when she & dad see what a shitty you've done you can't blame it on me! Again!! & That's how an old pile of bricks saved my life & put this scar on my brow bone & saved big bro from life imprisonment.
