University in England looked like paradise to me after Italy. I absolutely agree on everything you said about the Italian scholar system.

Shame you had to go through the same experience 😔 I didn't go to Uni so I can't compare it but I'm glad you eventually found a system that worked for you! Careful: I agree WITH everything you said about the Italian SCHOOL system 😉

It takes two to tango. Many students have too high expectations and don't want to put any effort. They think that "the perfect teacher" will do everything for them and they don't need to do anything. If students do nothing and make no progress, they automatically assume that it's their teacher's fault

The amount of teachers? Shouldn't it be 'the number of teachers'?

The amount of women in London who flirt with their own husbands is perfectly scandalous. It looks so bad. It is simply washing one's clean linen in public. (Playwright Oscar Wilde)

We have a joke here: if a pupil studies well, they take after their parents (as talented as them). If a pupil studies badly, it's their teacher's fault. Neither parents nor pupils are grateful to their teachers but they're always ready to attack them. It's soul crushing

Alot of them are just in it for the money especially professor's in college. Its two, not a lazy half a$$ professor and a 4.0 gpa student. In 40 minutes im going to have a man to man with my anatomy professor and give him his feedback. As for you, in the nicest way possible thanks for quiting.

@@cookimonster6156 yes, money can definitely be a factor. I'm not entirely sure I see how 'thanks for quitting' can be meant in a nice way, but I'll try to take it as a compliment, then 😜😊

Sorry, Sam, but for the first time I can't finish listening to you. And it's only 11:38 min. I feel very bad about you shaming your teachers. You are quite a recognizable person and it is not too difficult to find out who your "horrible teachers" are. And you already admitted that your friend had a different opinion about one of them. So perhaps not all is either black or white. I also remember one of my teachers being nice and competent while my friend told me when we met a couple of years ago that that teacher was unfair and rude. So, I would never stone somebody because I know life is more complicated. Another thing; teachers in state schools are underpaid all over the world (perhaps Finland is the only exception in Europe) and this causes something I call "a negative selection". For example, a very good programmer won't go to teach at school, because he or she can earn so much more in other places. Only a poor one (Yeah, I know there are some teachers who take up the job because it's their vocation, but you won't survive on vocation only...) So, some teachers stay at school because they don't have other opportunities, and after a while, they feel trapped, burnt-out and they even hate their job. The solution would be a serious change of the whole educational system like they did in Finland where teachers are well-paid, carefully selected and admired by society.

Hi, sorry for my late reply but I've just come back from holiday. I completely agree with what you said about teachers feeling burnt out, demoralised (and that's exactly why I quit) and being underpaid and that there should be a thorough overhaul of the system; and I do mention it in the video as a disclaimer and a way of giving teachers the benefit of the doubt. However, since all teachers go through the same negatives and downsides of teaching, I think we are still entitled to not appreciate those that decide to create a negative atmosphere for us students (in terms of knowledge and class management) and to form an opinion based on what they give us, because we are the ones who end up suffering the brunt of that
