Englogic was one of the few channels that provided reliable content for detail-oriented people. It was a beacon of hope for those looking to learn what's not being taught elsewhere. While it may not have provided the financial compensation you were hoping for, I disagree that Englogic was a failure. Its main purpose was to enlighten people with true and reliable information on the English language, and it has certainly fulfilled that purpose. As you've mentioned, Englogic was "your baby", but now it's us who are going to be orphans. Thank you, Sam, for all your hard work and efforts to help us achieve a deeper understanding of this language! We wish you all the best in your future endeavours! Take care!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge for free online, Sam! You're a great teacher, and I love your content and I'm sure many others do too. I hope the videos will stay so you can continue to help everyone with their English journey even in your absence. (Okay just finished the video and they're staying :) ) Fun fact: I just found your channel a few days ago and you're leaving already haha :'D After 2.5 years you still check your channel's progress first thing in the morning? I know it can feel excruciating that's why I don't use social media for that very reason but I wish you could literally care less about the exposure you're getting or not getting with your videos (sounds insensitive I know especially when a dire need for money is involved and your concern is understandable, but I'm saying this for your sake- considering you're starting a new channel). I'm a self-taught illustrator and my drawings were pretty good especially back in the day, 10+years ago, before AI generated art and tracing became a thing, but didn't post my work on popular platforms for similar reasons. I actually tried for a while and it had me obsessing over follower counts and number of likes it quickly became damaging to my mental health so I closed down my account and never returned. So as someone who doesn't use much social media for myself either, I understand what you've been going through. It reminds me of why I stayed away from managing an active page in the first place. But anyways, you'd been out here helping people and still are, so that's amazing! Thank you for your great sacrifice and hard work. It hasn't only been helpful but a pleasure to watch you teach so passionately and effectively. You'll be missed, Sam! :) I could've just ended it there but I have to say this; oh my gahd, you're a drag- no wonder you're so beautiful. When I first stumbled upon your video I thought you were gay but it's even better than that! XD I like how honest, authentic, vulnerable, and transparent you are with your subscribers it's like listening to a very close best friend I've known for years haha. Best of luck with your new ASMR channel! Less taxing, more rewarding for sure. ♥️

First of all, Ray, thank you for taking the time to write your comment, especially considering that you are new to the channel 😊 it's great to know I've made such a good first impression. Yes, I was so desperate to reach monetisation that my days started like that for 2.5 long years! And I didn't even tell you all the other things I had to do: the sleepless nights spent editing, up until 2 weeks ago I'd bring my laptop on the tube on my way to my drag shows so I could work on the train, one year I spent the week before Christmas (I was already back home with my family) re-doing all my thumbnails until 5am every night.. The list goes on and on. And I've always been happy to put in the work because I believe in and love my channel and what it represents, but I do need to make money 😔😭 and yes, it was very frustrating to have to suffer for so long before reaching monetisation. Oh, so you are a creative, too! I am sorry you had such a negative experience with social media 😔 even though I don't use it in my private life, I've realised I don't mind using it for work but I do need to get something out of it haha 😜 But wait: does that mean that you work as an illustrator or that you do it as a hobby? And YES: I AM A DRAG QUEEN! everyone told me I should do englogic in drag and I probably should have, but I don't actually like getting into drag or make-up (I like the final product and the fact that it allows me to sing), so I wouldn't have enjoyed it; plus, given the advanced content of my videos and the type of subscribers I have, I don't think it would have worked and I am sure I would have lost credibility, so I'm happy I never did it in the end. But I'll definitely talk about it more on my asmr channel and at some point I'll also make a video in drag. In the meantime, you can find me on Instagram at ellagantuk if you want to have a look (don't worry, I don't need to make money through that haha). Thank you for what you said about me being vulnerable and transparent as that's what I've always wanted to be (within the limitations of having to teach English through maths 😜) and I'll keep doing that on my other channel (I'm pretty sure I received the notification that you'd subscribed to it but I can't find it anymore, but thanks if that's the case 😉). What can I say? Thank you so much for your support, however brief, and for grasping my essence so quickly and accurately. And if you are ever in London, you have to come to one of my shows! ❤️

Oh, Sam... I'm so saddened by your news, and yet I'm not surprised. I can't remember when I subscribed to your channel (some time last year? before that?) but I do remember that what struck me about it was how thorough you were in covering your topics, how clearly you explained things, how original your way of teaching was and how beautiful your English was - and yet, you had so few views! I think my first ever comment on one of your videos was about that. I had seen a couple of videos on other English-teaching-related channels but I never even considered subscribing. I saw one of yours and I subsribed immediately. And I even commented (I very, very, very rarely comment on anything I see on social media), and you were kind enough to reply, and to even cover one of my language questions in one of your videos!! As a former self-employed translator, I can absolutely relate to everything you say about being self-employed, and I do understand your decision to stop doing something that takes up so much of your time, effort and emotions without giving you the income you deserve. I did the same. There were so many things you said in this video that I wanted to comment on, and now I can't remember any! So, I'll thank you for all your hard work, and I'll wish you all the best. In the meantime, I'll be catching up with the videos I've missed over the past few weeks. You will be missed. 😘

Today, I came across one of your videos, and I was amazed by it. You explained all the details of the topic so clearly. While watching your latest video, I stumbled upon this one, which made me feel deeply sad. I think you're an excellent teacher, and one of the main reasons you don’t have more subscribers is due to KZbin's algorithms to my mind. I’m also thinking about uploading videos like yours, but this video has really discouraged me. I think you should give it a second thought.
@EnglogicSamАй бұрын
@@all-right144 Thank you so much for saying that! ❤️ If you really want to start a KZbin channel, my advice is to do it: despite how mine ended, I'm really happy I gave it a go because I'd been meaning to for years. I only regret not stopping sooner, but you should definitely try, at least to get it out of your system, if nothing else 😉 I also realise that not many youtubers can survive solely on the revenue brought in by ads because it's fairly low. Most teachers use this as a platform to then promote their courses or lessons. I never wanted to do that and that's on me. Funnily enough, though, I've decided to give teaching another go and either this week or the next I'll upload a video where I give you all the details 😉 I've thought about coming back a lot of times but I just can't risk it because I MUST make money, so I wouldn't go back to posting videos like I used to. I'm seriously considering posting new videos but only on a membership basis, so people would have to pay a monthly subscription to access my content. I still need to see how my other channel and my new teaching go, but I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for the support and do let me know if you start your own channel!

It's so sad to hear that Sam! Watching from Thailand and I caught every word in your video. I can feel you completely. ❤😢 Thank you so much for your time and dedication nurturing this channel. Firstly, I followed this channel because I love listening to your voice, your British accent and also your lessons on pronunciation. I used to teach English in my free time many years ago but with my busy work scheduled, I had stopped. Now, with the rise of online teaching, I've come across some online English teachers teaching incorrect pronunciation . This highlights the importance of good teaching and inspired me to help others avoid similar mistakes. I'm not here to tell my story, though. I just wanted to share that when I listened to you, I saw myself (we're not comfortable in front of camera, scripted not to miss the point, spent ages editing, not monetized as I just started). I whole-heartedly understand your journey and cried with you. 😢 The knowledge you've shared is valuable, but the time you've dedicated is equally important. To me, you are an incredible teacher. I will always come back and learn from this channel and will also recommend to my future students. Lastly, I wish you joy and tons of success with your new channel. Subscribed! ❤ P.S. Last night, I listened to your new ASMR channel to calm and relax before going to bed.😍

Watching your video confirmed what I have already known: Life is a bitch. If it was fair and just, you would make good money for such excellent quality and commitment. I absolutely understand your reasons for quitting Englogic and though your confession was heartbreaking, I think it is a good decision. If you were rich and treated this as a hobby, I am sure you would continue, because it's obvious that this first child of yours is your great love and achievement. When I think about these 6k people who found you by themselves, I can see a little town of committed friends. I know monetary it is nothing, but this number does mean quite a big group of people. Please, try to remember about this. As a mother, I am sure your mum is very proud of you. I am proud of you. And even if you are crying a bit, I feel you are also proud of yourself. You are a teacher and you are a keeper. Sometimes, you are soft and delicate but also, you like some challenge and you know your value. And you've got many, many talents. Between the lines, I can see you also suffered being a gay person in Italy, which taught you to fight for yourself and be stronger. The result: nowadays you, is stunning! You are beautiful, both outside and inside, you are fragile but resilient, stubborn but realistic, I do hope Life will notice your efforts, and notice them soon! And you will achieve your goals: financial and personal stability and happiness. You deserve it so much, Sam. Now, after crying a little bit, I have an important question. I'd like to watch your drag performances and get to know more about this side of you. You mentioned your website but I can't find it. Could you, please, give me the link? I've already subscribed your ASMR channel and told all my friends about it. Can you imagine, I had no idea what ASMR stands for? Now I know and all thanks to you. So, I am going to keep in touch. Dear Sam. The masses are way too stupid to recognise your genius. I absolutely agree that you are the best one can find on KZbin. You are a great communicator, and I hope that one day you can establish a channel that achieves the success you deserve

Jacopo! Thank you for this wonderful comment and for all your support over the years! It's really heartwarming to know I've made such an important impact on the community we've created 😍 Hopefully, my new ASMR channel will pay off and I'm excited to see what happens with that. For now I'm enjoying talking for hours on end because I loooove talking haha 😘
