Below is the proof that you are correct, based on the New Testament, and the writings of Josephus. Fort Antonia (Herod’s Praetorium, Acts 23:35) was built by Herod and given to the Romans. It was used to house the thousands of Roman soldiers needed to police the ancient city of Jerusalem. In Acts 23:23 the Romans sent 470 soldiers to escort one man. Are we to believe all of the soldiers from the fort were sent with this one man? During 73 AD the Jewish leader at Masada said the only thing left of Jerusalem was that which belonged to the Romans. Mar 15:16 Then the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium, and they called together the whole garrison. Act_23:35 he said, "I will hear you when your accusers also have come." And he commanded him to be kept in Herod's Praetorium. Based on Acts 21:31-40, we know the Roman fort was above the temple because the soldiers had to go “down” to rescue Paul from the mob at the temple. Paul later spoke to the crowd below from the steps. The following comes from Wars of the Jews, by Flavius Josephus, Book 5, Chapter 5, Section 8. “8. Now as to the tower of Antonia, it was situated at the corner of two cloisters of the court of the temple; of that on the west, and that on the north; it was erected upon a rock of fifty cubits in height, and was on a great precipice; it was the work of king Herod, wherein he demonstrated his natural magnanimity. In the first place, the rock itself was covered over with smooth pieces of stone, from its foundation, both for ornament, and that any one who would either try to get up or to go down it might not be able to hold his feet upon it. Next to this, and before you come to the edifice of the tower itself, there was a wall three cubits high; but within that wall all the space of the tower of Antonia itself was built upon, to the height of forty cubits. Josephus described it as a large structure, instead of what we find in Avi Yonah’s modern model of the fort. Josephus also said the fort blocked the view of the temple on the north side. In the passage below we find the Romans used Fort Antonia as the base to attack the temple during 70 AD. They had previously gained access to the fort by attacking the foundation for seven days. You have to realize that the temple of Jesus's day was greatly expanded by Herod so that there is no way it could fit on the site called the city of David. The temple will be built 90 feet north of the Dome of the Rock...that's exactly where Jewish experts know that it was located. In fact, after the Temple was destroyed, the Romans used it as a garbage dump for a long time...just to rub it in to the few Jews remaining, that their society was never coming back . And now that I think about it , I just remember the name of the guy who figured out where the Temple was ...and where the third temple will be built ( 90 feet north of the Dome of the Rock) . Solomon's Temple never sat on what you think of as the Temple mount. The wailing Wall was part of a Roman fortress. It was called fort Antonio. Jesus told his disciples not one stone shall be left upon another that will not be cast down. Solomon's Temple was built in the city of David. And that was not fort Antonio. So I believe the third temple could be built now. I hope this helps.

Don't be wrapped up in controversies started by people who have no idea what they are talking about, but speak out of either ignorance or intellectual VANITY. If you listen to them you will be diverted from spending time in God's presence, praying and reading His word. What has been written about the temples is crystal clear in the Bible...but you need to read the whole Bible many times over to put it all together. A good teacher filled with the Holy Spirit of God can help you understand some things on top of your own study. The best , godly teacher on Bible prophecy I have ever listened to is Dr. David Hocking...and I have a Batchelor of Theology myself and I've been to university as well. @esther You still not understand and number 2, I also noticed you are inserting words that are not written in the Bible. Take Romans 11:26. Galatians is referring to the Hebrews and not to Gentiles. Romans 9 :6 is speaking about the ones who claim to be jews but are not, If you really want to know if Gentiles are involved its in the Romans. The issue of color goes back in time. The Almighty made a covenant with the Hebrews, not with the Gentiles. HE cannot break that covenant and HE is married to them. Yet they rejected him numerous times. Hence now the Gentiles get a chance to be grafted into the promise by grace and mercy. There is an Age of the Gentiles and that is now and it will soon come to a close. Also the issue is many black people claim to be Hebrews. That is not true. Even in Jerusalem they claim to be Hebrews, and that also is not true. The real Hebrews are a distinct race of people, very much similar to like the Egyptians and have hair like the Jamaicans. Their skin color is like amber being light brown like the light brown of a cedar tree. We all know that the Messiah came from this group of people. What I am saying is people have a nice surprise coming.
