Are ducks killed for the feathers?

Our down is a byproduct of the food industry. So yes they are, much like cows are killed primarily for meat, leather is a byproduct. However, unlike many Chinese companies which live pluck geese for their down our down is IDFL certified - which means they are not live plucked or force feed.
