Drizzlin' miserable day in Donny Osmond! I'm an agency driver, passed my class 1 in August been mostly driving rigids but have been let loose in the artics now and then, being thrown in the deep end! No better way to learn! It's really a single person's job, no ties etc. if you do tramping, but if you get day work like a "normal" job it suits the married person better. I have been kept busy only the odd day off other than weekends. Yes I think it's worth it if you want to do it! Take care, Andy thank you for sharing.

Hello,it's not always the hauliers that say no to inexperienced drivers it's the insurance companies that say no. It's also not easy when you stay in part of country that doesn't have lots of hauliers etc. As you said, you're not guaranteed full-time work with agencies. It's not just the quiet months it's a struggle to get agency work.Agencies will tell you what you want to hear they just want you signed up. Have seen lots of you tubers tell you how to get a job. All of them stay in parts of the country with lots of hauliers, distribution centres etc.

Hi Andy i did email you a few week ago for some advice, don't know if it went straight to your spam or what? Roughly can you remember from said company what the starting wage was like? Was it less when you first joined then upped or do they start you out on full wages from leaving the driving school? Cheers

no its not worth it! saw a job on indeed for a class 1 driver with air chemical licence, full time, £13 an hour! wtf!!! the money they are offering is a joke! you could collect trolleys in a super market for that wage,
